My wife, the most non-economy minded person in my universe, asked me this morning about moving money to outside the US. I had to do a double take, then explain that the US has specific controls in place to prevent this action in the form of required reporting for any sum over 10k in a foreign held account. I suspect there are a lot of people trying to figure out ways to adapt to the current debasement of our currency - obviously there's gold or other hard assets, and some people like crypto, but that's not for me. I see the reality sinking in to people that the US dollar is very quickly heading from safe store of value to a highly risky currency right now.
This is really not cool as I’m trying to retire right now and am a little concerned about triggering big transactions while we’re on the precipice. Fucking hell.
Odds on Europe deploying troops to Greenland in the next few months? I suspect we're sliding right into the Proud Tower territory right now whether we like it or not. A lot of long standing grudges/territorial desires about to get going.
I think that's the wrong corollary. I've seen Panama with Noriega suggested but to me this is not an invasion with occupation planned. I do think we just greenlit Taiwan and officially approved annexation of Ukraine. The world's borders are about to change.
I have him on ignore but I assume anaphylaxis is totally on board with invading sovereign countries as long as babypants and cheeto do it? Least shocking news ever here, Grenada 2.0.
Retire. get my knee replacement done. Drink less or stop altogether. Drop about fifteen lbs. Appreciate all the things I have and stop worrying about the ones I don’t.
I don't know about your work there JD, these days I feel like I have to apologize for being white a lot more given the damage you chucklefucks are doing.
It's not a blockade but an embargo. Terminology matters even if the idiots in charge don't know the difference. Chevron still exporting crude to Corpus, for example. That by itself makes it not a blockade.
Listened to all the episodes on a flight to Kauai. Really worthwhile and a great listen. Bannon is an interesting character and Warren comes off very well in that interview episode. There was a lot of good discussion about the lack of consequences to the wealthiest in our society when they take risks. It really is a fundamental problem and the parallels to 1929 are I impressive. Going to have to read Sorkins book.
So the olds who voted for this are getting their lives shortened? Tough shit. I'm fully on board the pain train being needed now. Once we get to DeNazification let me know.
How big of a fucking loser do you have to be to keep getting banned and coming back to a message board where no one wants you? It’s fucking perverse how dogged this cockroach is !
I have been to Caracas but not in thirty years. The food was awesome, the old American cars everywhere were cool, and the traffic was insane. Beautiful women too!
I didn’t check internet this entire game. Just enjoyed every minute of it. Trying to live like times before the internet and it was pretty glorious. This Texas team reminds me of some of the Gardere teams from my time in school. Not perfect, lots of flaws, but some really special wins. Poor aggy!
