You don’t? You need to reexamine your life choices. We’re all paid bots here.

2021 - Is inflation finally back in the conversation?
I’m not a developer, thank God. I’m way too risk averse for that. I consult so I make money either way. But obviously it’s better if development is going on and is making money. I’ve lived through three big recessions in business at this point, looks like time to relax and enjoy another one.

Rosey Palms is real to me, dammit. A lot of good discussion in here and I agree that we’re going to go through some deferred pain for a little while. There is all of a sudden a lot of distressed projects available because of underwriting 2 or 3 years ago for construction loans, which depended on long term financing now at rates 300 basis points lower than where they are. I think smart operators with cash are going to make a killing the next two years.

Elon Musk: Nazi traitor piece of shit [Confirmed]
Only one reason for that and it’s to move inventory that is piling up. It’s not too clear space for next year’s models, and it’s destroying the aura of exclusivity that used to attach o the vehicle (however undeserved). It’s really going to hurt the pricing power going forward and is likely the effect of the traditional car companies getting rolling with EVs. Some big names are short TSLA, I don’t play that game but have felt it’s way overpriced as a company for a long time.

Apple Classical
Yeah I don’t think my ability to find the different renditions of Bach’s Cello Concertos did that. But I’m very happy because if you’re into classical you know how badly pandora, Spotify, and Apple Music handle it. It sounds great, but very hard to organize and find what you want. Little things that make me happy.

So hang on, is decreasing inflation good or bad? It’s all so confusing for a Neanderthal.

Guy who lived in Austin for 8 years leaving because Austin ain't what she used to be...
This was my experience but I chalked it up to being a grouchy old. I think Austin is and will be fine.

How Fox News works
Boo. Fuck dominion for taking 800 mil to get destroyed. That is chump change for Fox, too. I bet there is no apology either.

Apple Classical
This is a fantastic spinoff of Apple Music. Not CarPlay compatible yet, but for my little desktop music in my home office it’s indispensable. Really liking the way it sorts and recommends music. As usual apple nails the interface.

Stop eating so much.- Time for another ‘my dog is awesome’ thread
- Lending tree: top ten places millennials are buying
There’s never a wrong place to shit on aggy.- Lending tree: top ten places millennials are buying
Go to Rio de Janeiro and walk outside after dark. Or Manila. Or Joburg. You’ll see scary. New Haven was a lot of what we used to call drag worms and unsafe. But not gangs of minors who might kill you for your shoes or shirt.- How Facist are you?
17 percent but I live in Cali so I’m a commie bastard anyway.- Lending tree: top ten places millennials are buying
Well I was there for roughly 15 hours, drove in from JFK, and flew out from Logan. It was by far the worst place in between. Your mileage may vary.- Lending tree: top ten places millennials are buying
It is nice. Speaking of shit holes. New Haven. Went on a visit to Yale when my daughter was checking out schools and noped the fuck out of there. Providence was ok but also a little rough around the edges, but New Haven was legit scary except the campus.- Lending tree: top ten places millennials are buying
A lot of shitty places on that list. Mine: Monte Carlo Buzios Punta del Este La Jolla Monterey Peninsula Vancouver Island Aspen Bariloche Innsbruck. Probably a few more but nothing in Texas, sorry.- Surly #Stonks
Fair enough, but I bought heavily last summer and have been enjoying the twenty cents per share dividend monthly. My basis is around 20 per share so I am pretty happy with it. Certainly not for everyone…- Surly #Stonks
By the way none of that belongs in stonks.- Surly #Stonks
You said it. Good fund for sideways or bear market. V likely to lag badly in any bull market. My preference has been a combination of PDI (nice cash flow yield) and tax advantaged funds from Blackrock and PIMCO. My money market pays almost as much as CDs do and it’s completely liquid, so I keep about a year of funds in there. I think the main fear with PDI is ROC but they are very well managed with a long track record. A 12 percent yield is hard to find anywhere else. - 2021 - Is inflation finally back in the conversation?
