  1. Is that Jason Appel running in at the end? Surprised he didn't jump on top so he could get credit for a 0.5 tackle.
  2. Can't believe it's been 20 years since that game. The youngsters on this board can't fully understand how embarrassing that game was for the Ags. Running clock in the 4th qtr (or was it the entire 2nd half?) like it's fucking rec soccer. Paul Thompson taking a knee on 1st down, maybe even on the drive this clip is from. He took a knee in the 4th qtr with plenty of time remaining when OU was about to score again. And then on downs 2-4 they simply ran the same play into the middle of the line like the clip above. Then culminating with Johnny Fucking Jolly doing a celebratory strut after body slamming a RB when the entire OU team had clearly stopped trying. What a fantastic day I had watching with my Aggie sister as well as the jackass Aggy that was married to my cousin at the time. I laughed so hard when this play happened, and he wanted to fight me. I may have to see if somone has his contact info so I can send him this clip on the anniversary in November.
  3. I didn't watch the game, but I went to check the stats after seeing his comment Sunday morning that Weigman is "that guy". Weigman was sub 60% and threw 2 INTs. What am I missing? The other thing that jumped out to me is that it takes a pretty special group to lose a game by 2+ TD when you block a punt and recover a fumble inside the red zone (and convert both to TDs), run 30 more plays than your opponent, win TOP, and have 60 fewer penalty yards than your opponent. LOL. Wish I would have watched the game.
  4. This is the part that is especially funny. They spent all their money buying what may be the best DL 3 deep in in the country, but they only play 3 kids at a time because they are hoping playing 8 in the back makes up for the fact they suck.
  5. I really enjoyed having an "appointment", and then having to wait an hour past that time to be seen.

First, we all know Brisket is the Frasier of the Scot bar. He is way too analytical to simply full of useless facts. Second, I was in a customer meeting last week that I can stop thinking about. I work in tech. I have since I graduated. The idea of an 8 hour work day or a 40 hour week is a pipe dream. I've never really thought much about it and I assumed anyone that wasn't paid hourly or work for the government worked >40 hours a week because there is always more work to do. This customer works for a multinational energy company and said they get every other Friday off. 9 days/80 hours was how he described it. I laughed and made a comment that it sounds nice but "when was the last time you worked only 80 hours over 2 weeks." He looked at me like I was nuts and said "why do you think I got out of Tech. The quality of life sucks." This guy was a VP and his boss was sitting next to him and said "we want our workers to have a life out of work. It makes them more effective at work." I was floored. At New Years, my wife and I talk about resolutions. Mine is always, "I want to do more things with friends". Human interaction is so important. But every year it's the same--3 kids in school and activities, I work long hours and travel for work, and we also like family time. Shooting the shit with friends just doesn't happen. 9 days/80 hours, huh? Yes please.
  7. Our eyes met across a crowded hat store. I, am customer and she, a coquettish haberdasher. I pursued and she withdrew. Then she pursued and I withdrew. And so we danced, and I burned for her. Much like the burning during urination I experienced soon afterwards.

Just enjoy the club games because when it comes to USMNT Greg will work hard to fuck it up.
  9. First ones that came to mind were "Turn the Page" and "Are you sure Hank done it this way". Some other good ones mentioned as well. Here's one
  10. My wife tells the story of her notoriously frugal dad being proud of himself for finding a "6 star" hotel in Mexico to take the family one year. Even though it was super cheap, he was still dismissive when people told him there was no such thing as a 6 star hotel. Turns out when you market yourself as a 6 star hotel with nothing to actually back up that claim, there isn't any sort of standard you have to hold yourself to. My wife said "2 star if I'm being generous". This has nothing to do with recruiting other than Five Star Plus+ sounds totally made up.
  11. What did the itemized bill say? Was there a service charge already added?
  12. Right. Why not add 18% to the prices of the food and drinks and state loud and proud tips are not expected and they pay employees a living wage that is baked into the prices.
  13. "Sirr Parker is better than Ricky" "Dat Nguyen is better than Dusty Renfro" The delusion is infinite.
  14. "What are you basing that on?" "Uh, everything" I love the end. "It's like Oklahoma and Oklahoma St." "YES! YES!"
  15. I feel like you could pull a song out a hat from those 80's girl bands and it works. Bangles, Wilson Phillips, Go-Gos, etc. But I'll highlight this one because 1) it hasn't been mentioned, and 2) it's a song I really enjoy when I THINK no one is watching. A couple of years ago i was coming home from work and both garage doors were open, which told me the nanny was outside with my boys. I didn't see them in the yard, so I figured they were walking or riding bikes around the block. This song was on, and I'll be damned if I'm going to stop it in the middle right before it gets to the best part. I turn the volume up and am singing like I'm in the finals of a karaoke gameshow on Fox. Songs ends and I get out of the car. Nanny is standing in the garage with a shit-eatin' grin on her face. "Oh, I was just finishing up listening to a song" "Yea, I know." "How long you been standing there?" "Long enough"
  16. this thread has now peaked. shut it down. no possible way it gets better than this page.
  17. Who said inconvenience? It's was "too big". WTF does that even mean?
  18. I smell a boycott. And btw, a broker that has been "booked twice for possession of marijuana" is definitely not to be trusted. John fucking Sharp. Perfect Aggy Chancellor if there ever was one.
  19. My son had soccer practice on Saturday (indoors), and the coach said they may cancel Monday's pratice due to heat (it's outdoors today starting at 615pm). Forecast says 104 at 6pm and 100 at 8pm. Apparently that's not hot enough to cancel. Practice is on.
  20. And Colon Blow was Nov. 1989
  21. The internet says Bad Idea Jeans commercial was 9/29/90
  22. Several years ago we hired a new Director of Product Marketing. There was a guy on the team that was totally passed over. He had experience, was really smart, well respected by the team and company, but the new boss hired his buddy into the role. First meeting I'm in with the new Director, he's presenting something in front of his team, his boss, and an adjacent team (mine), and it sucks. His boss (his buddy who hired him) said something about focusing on the 4 P's and giving a new readout in a week. About 2 minutes later the guy who got passed over sends me a work IM saying the Director just sent him a note asking what the 4 P's were. Couldn't even bother to Google it before showing his ass to the most senior person on his team. My friend spent about 2 months teaching the Director the basics of marketing before he left for something different.

I guess I don't really understand the definition of a vocalist given some of the comments and suggestions. I would have thought to be considered a vocalist you need great technical skills. I would put Roy Orbison and Linda Ronstadt up against anybody not named Freddie Mercury.
