Oh, and anyone into that classic PAF sound, I thought I liked the Custombuckers in my 59. Someone else played that guitar last night and, holy hell, they sound so much better when someone talented plays them.
I made the decision to swap pups because I bought this strictly for the husk. My plan has been to upgrade everything. The pickups weren't bad. They pots, caps and wiring were. I wanted to try those pickups. This guitar may just be a testing ground for pickups. I like them. They have a little bit n of grit to them and the low end is tight.
My $200 Chibson gets re-wired tomorrow and the SD Whole Lotta Humbuckers installed. Shockingly nice guitar. Lightly relic'd. They're doing actual nitro on some of them now. The neck feels just like the shape on my Epiphone 1959.
I watch a lot of her videos...for reasons. She has one shopping for a new guitar with the Captain, at Anderton's, and one in Austin and her buying a guitar from Jimmy Vaughan's son, Tyrone.
Well, Blue is half husky, but Maisy is the one refusing to come inside. I keep waiting for her to wipe out and blow a knee out flying across the iced over deck, but I guess she has all-wheel drive.
