oh - i also think the season 3 finale would have been much better if the Ratliff family had drank the Pina Coloda's and died and watching the young son deal with that. I agree with everyone who thought the fake out death of the youngest son was terrible writing.
i binged season 3 over the past 4 days and really enjoyed it - though i agree with the general consensus that there were some puzzling choices made by the writer. Rick going back to the White Lotus after confronting the owner's husband (his father - big shocker there) being perhaps the biggest one. Rick and Frank sucking ass as conmen also didn't really work for me, but there were some funny moments produced because of it. All season long I was hoping for some big payoff for Rick and at the end I realized that it was because I like Walton Goggins, not the Rick character. If that character was played by someone I didn't have a history with, I would have hated him from the beginning. I was not familar with Amiee Lou Wood before watching this and I am a huge fan of her now. She was easily the best character in the show and it helped that she was hot AF. Carrie Coon's monologue in the final episode was incredible and really moved me as someone who grew up with a couple of guys who i now only see on rare occasions as we all live different lives in different places. "we started this life together, we're all doing it apart, but we're still together" just hit so fucking hard. i fucking love watching debauchery so a couple of the middle episodes were right up my alley. loved how quickly Frank fell off the wagon and went from 0 to 100. was also glad to see him apparently back on the wagon at the end. i've never watched any season of this show as it aired and have binged them all afterwards. for me, i think that's the way this show works best. guess that's what I'll do whenever season 4 airs too. i am definitely a fan of this series.
yeah it would be very hard for me to get over Peterson's lack of availability if I had to pick between him and Dybansta. maybe if the Pacers win the #1 pick they could justify it since their team is already established and they can afford to take a risk, but I can't really see why any other team wouldn't take the guy you know will actually be available.
