  1. Thanks Herbie, for some reason cannot reply to the thread. Missed them on this trip, but I’ll be back.
  2. Heading to Fort Worth and Denton next week. Any stores on the west side of the Metroplex worth stopping into?
  3. Wait, the HC can challenge the shitty officiating!?
  4. Good job putting a hat on the ball. Should have been a catch and fumble though
  5. I love college football, and have watched several non-playoff bowl games, original post notwithstanding.. but stand by the statement- there have been some horrible games , with teams that really don’t care, playing in half-empty stadiums. I agree with everyone that watched the Alamo Bowl last night, good game by players that gave a shit and wanted to be there. Bonus points to TCU for handing Lincoln Riley another loss. Y’all have some good solutions, not that anything will change unless ratings drop. I would be all for dropping the bottom 10-12 games, putting the Pop-Tarts crew in charge of the rest, and tying NIL payouts to postseason participation.
  6. I drove by the Austin location early afternoon thinking I’d stop by if the line was dwindling and see what was left. At 1:00 still wrapped 2/3 around the building. So I noped right on out. Happy for any of y’all that braved the crowd though.
  7. Cool, cool. i’ll wager 2/3 of these games are gone within 5 years. And college football is my favorite sport.
  8. Is anybody watching the bowl games this year? In years past I really enjoyed seeing teams that would not otherwise meet playing in the bowls. Now they seem like a waste of time. With portal opt-outs and coaching changes, and actual play-off games, do we really need a Fenway Bowl in 2025?
  9. This man knows his valley spots
  10. I paid $143 at Twin in Austin. That Twin typically sells at a reasonable price. First time I’d seen a bottle under $299.
  11. I’ve been in Texas for over 30 years after coming to the University for grad school.. but grew up in OK and went to State. Gundy used up all goodwill for his success with OSU when he survived dismissal and renegotiated his contract in the offseason. The start to this season has donors ready to revolt. Gundy was offered the chance to announce his retirement now for after the season and coach out. Not surprisingly he refused. AD believed he had to move now to save BMDs and (probably incorrectly) his own job.
  12. Archmadness or do we go straight buyers remorse with Arch Sadness?
  13. Today I learned there is an American East Conference
