He failed to piss this Horn fan off. By the lack of responses here, seems he didn't fare too well in that quest. The lack of self-awareness grows more wearisome.
I contend that Bohls had the story for several weeks and wanted to break it, but CDC told AAS to hold off. Bohls then took it to the Chronicle which leans more aggy and used it to ink a contract with them. If Z prick or any other Chronicle contributor had broke it, it wouldn't have gotten the attention that it did coming from Bohls. Schloss was probably more upset about it being leaked than the actual question.
They have more than enough grackles to suffice. Not crows, but close enough.
I hope CDC figures out some way to feed Bohls some false shit that he'd be too gullible not to break. I anticipate a Texas Hate tell all coming out by Bohls. That's what he'll use to retire on since the 12th men will all swallow that shit hook line and sinker
The DNC played a very big part in tapping Allred. It wasn't so much state leadership.
Roland was all over the state leading up to the primary. He logged like 8-10k miles in those last two months. I fully anticipated it would be a run off between he and Allred. Allred blew his doors off without even trying, which was truly surprising since Allred had no presence in the field. He blames that on Congress being in session and there's some logic to that. But since they got out of session, he's been AWOL as well.
I think the DNC and Allred are trying to appeal to those Rs and independents who just won't pull a lever for a "radical progressive" over Cruz. They are looking for that crossover vote and not going for the progressive one that Roland appealed to. And with the D's dismal turnout record in the past decade, DNC seems to be putting its money behind someone that doesn't come off as this great threat to go in and start demanding a bunch of change. This is why he does a lot of preaching about working across the aisle and bi-partisanship. Hoping to draw that cross-over vote. That's the only explanation I can come up with.
There are those who seem to think he sounds at times like Eric Johnson.
I'm surprised Yeoman's Veer wasn't mentioned. The Run and Shoot was under the Mouse Davis, but I figure Yeoman deserves some credit here since this list seemingly is to denote teams that came up with innovative things that changed the game. But a lot of these teams like OU simply took others' ideas and were more successful with them on bigger stages due to better athletes (at the time being recruited in questionable ways).
Also have no idea why VT gets a nod because they had Vick. Could have said the same for Johnny Football and aggy, but the latter had one year of success, the former two. Unless it's silently marking that Vick's success marked the acceptance of black QBs, that they could master high power offenses that required them to use their heads as much as their athleticism?
Not sure where to put this, so settled on here. Is there another university program out there as reviled as UT? Maybe ND? Fucked up and left stuff outside the quote. Too lazy to correct. Apologies.
It Just Means More
The University of Texas is used to always having its way in everything. But in the SEC, their arrogance will not be tolerated. Texas is about to discover what it is like to be treated as an equal. It will be fascinating to see how Texas adapts to its new home. The past bullying of Texas won’t work in college football’s best league. Yet old habits are hard to break.
Enjoy your new home and circumstances, Bevo. You made the bed you are about to crap in.
I have a guy who always asks me why I don't build up a personal armory and my response is "if the world is going to be run by the people with the biggest guns and not the biggest hearts, pretty sure I'd not like to live in that world".
Can you imagine how colorless and bland that world will be?
Plus P2025 will hit its brick wall when they ban online porn. And I don't mean just hardcore, but even the soft stuff like we see in IPIHB.
