  1. Hughes came to the team a few years after Lebron and was the big FA signing during the first Lebron years. *facepalm* The Cavs had pursued Ray Allen and Michael Redd (either would have been great fits next Lebron) but they said no thanks so Hughes was the (shitty) consolation prize who couldn't shoot and consistently mucked up the lane for Lebron. I could (and have) written much more about the 03-10 Cavs but the Hughes signing is a good microcosm.
  2. The Wiseman pick was the beginning of the end. That and age; Father Time seems to be creeping up faster on Curry than on Lebron.
  3. Smush Parker, Benedict Boozer, Darius Miles...good times.
  4. 7th straight win, all by double digits. Will be tough to get the 8th in a row tomorrow on the 2nd night of a back to back at Lebron. Meanwhile, Golden State has now lost 13 of their last 17. Their pieces just not meshing well at all.
  5. Spanked Denver tonight. Now 27-4. And Mobley is taking the leap. Shooting over 40% from 3 for the season.
  6. I'm sure Riles is going to want a Gobert/Mitchell/Harden/PG type haul but I can't see any team giving that kind of loot for a 35 year old.
  7. Wemby flopping like a seasoned vet. Impressive. This is right up there with that Marcus Smart flop of a few years ago.
  8. I feel like we haven't made fun of the Pelicans enough. At the time of the AD trade, what they got was unprecedented and here's what they got: Brandon Ingram (FA in 2025 and has missed 20-40 games each year in NOLA) Lonzo Ball (shipped to Chicago for spare parts) Josh Hart (shipped to Portland along with a 2022 protected first for CJ and Nance Jr) Three firsts (they used those picks or assets from those picks on Jaxson Hayes, NAW, Herb Jones, and Dyson Daniels - Daniels is the best of those players and they shipped him and other assets to ATL for Dejounte Murray) Lakers 2025 first (they chose NOT to use the Lakers pick in 2024, electing to move to 2025, and the Lakers selected Dalton Knecht - oops) So we're about the end of all this and the Pelicans are currently 5-25 and are just about bereft of any young talent. Oh yeah and then there's this guy.
  9. Julius Randle is being torched mercilessly on Wolves social media. Why the hate over the past 24 hours? Well...
  10. Just eliminate the 3 point line entirely. Yeah I said it Come at me bro.
  11. I can certainly relate; outside of Cavs games, I probably haven't watched a single NBA game start to finish in years. The NBA today is basically a 3 point shooting contest every game. I mean, this is ridiculous..and it's from the defending champions!
  12. West looks wide open this season - there are about 5 or 6 teams that could win the conference and I wouldn't be surprised. 1) OKC 18-5 2) Dallas 16-8 3) Houston 15-8 4) Memphis 15-8 5) GS 13-9 6) Clippers 14-10 7) Minnesota 12-10 8 ) PHX 12-10 9) Denver 11-10 10) Lakers 12-11
  13. What I posted about the KAT trade back in September. Sorry ANT.
  14. Still very early but it sure does look like Minnesota fucked themselves over with the KAT trade. Now below .500, Donte has stunk, Randle is a jag (and if the Wolves make the playoffs, he'll be even worse in those playoffs just as he's always been throughout his career), and KAT is putting up insane numbers with the Knicks.
  15. Succinct breakdown of the contract situation of Ty Jerome, whose contract is up at the end of the year. He keeps playing like this the rest of the year the Cavs may get Hartenstein'd.
