Things not going well in Venezuela
It’s pretty damning of VZ and paints a very bleak situation, at best, in doing business there over the past few decades. It will take service/rig company subsidies and guarantees, and oil production company subsidies and guarantees to get them interested, and even then it’s a massive gamble. Trump’s 18-month estimate is ludicrous in my mind. Probably 3 years for meaningful production increases - at the end of his term. And would necessitate significant US boots on ground as security (at the least). I tend to agree with you, but Trump likes the threat of increasing supply to lower price. So I think this was in part due to oil and other mineral resources.

If BaD Radio isn't on from 3-7 p.m. ...
Listened to two segments today (first time listening in 2 weeks). Craig bitching about Cowboys loss yesterday, which is ridiculous, on the way to work. Then on treadmill, Bob strongly insinuating Horns pulled Livingstone’s offer. Got off treadmill, turned off Ticket and turned on my podcast on the French Revolution, but not before I heard a Jeff Catlin spot. I’m about done. Happy to start with The Dumb Zone now.

Things not going well in Venezuela
I think the actions he took in Iran, Israel/Gaza (stopping the pitched battle) and this weekend were fine. Everything else sucks. Tariffs, ICE tactics, all social moves, including ridiculous name changes meant only to draw opposition offsides, etc. He is a detestable person with the inclination and follow through to act on his toddler instincts.

Things not going well in Venezuela
It is not his style to care about Venezuela, so long as he is informed it’s running well. It should not deter whatever his China policy is. Russia is a lesser concern than China.

Things not going well in Venezuela
No, lol, and Trump has been exceedingly more active in 12 months than his last 48 combined. I was speaking of our innate ability to fuck up foreign policy regardless of continent. This could manifest in several ways. Nothing will happen to Maduro whatsoever. But for example, do we neglect leadership and let it devolve? Probably. Do we let any subsequent oil investment wither when they decide to nationalize again? Probably. Starting a war? Lol. I find fault in pretty much everything he does. I ignore him because I find him so off putting. What I don’t do is let HIM draw me offsides, and I do get a kick out of the teeth gnashing that occurs after his Iran and Venezuela actions.

I would need to go a step further. A lot are incapable of understanding that a horrible person with the touch of a sledge hammer (that I didn’t vote for) is actually capable of executing some things well in his own bombastic idiotic manner. I view this as a non-event that will understandably make Venezuelans happy, but we will fuck up in the long run because everything this guy does will be reversed, bad and good. It is because of this propensity to overreact I fear will embolden him to power grab in ‘28.

Things not going well in Venezuela
The bulk of TARP proceeds went to banks that bought other failing banks. I can see some producers playing ball with Trump given certain caveats. But it won’t reverse the condition of their oil fields in the near-term. In fact if I were Trump I would absolutely engage American companies with certain guarantees.

CC already has his money. He is a land guy primarily that has dabbled in development. It will not affect him, except he might not be as bro friendly with Trump.

How do you figure that?

Neggers
Christians are highly capable of reacting the same as political neggers. Not sure why you would think otherwise.

Texas Roster 2026
No kidding. There’s nothing rash about his decision. He’s got to do it. I don’t know what’s behind it, but I’ve read enough to know most here underrate Parker and how fast and good of a receiver he is. I also don’t understand why yall don’t see why we force the ball to Wingo. He’s extremely dynamic with the ball in his hands. With Wingo, Parker and Mosley, and an experienced Arch, that is a really potent passing offense. I could have seen any of them post over 1,000 receiving yards, and even 2 of them in the same season with health.
