Not even the best in the biz, sir. For obvious reasons, relaying shit to official voices covering the team could have hacked it all up, so we witnessed relative lockdown.

You did all you could to save them from themselves. And for that, we salute you.

He might not actually be faster but he might "feel" faster or maybe just the world is slower man

It was an in-state recruitment even Mehringer and Meekins couldn't lose.

Come on, they all knew about this, but couldn't say anything for reasons they'll get into later.

$9.95, please.

High risk, high reward with this guy. Has the measurables to be a good red zone target, but could also turn out to be an old Bobby Kennedy special.

Is landing Fouonji and Dixon/LVBS still possible at this point? I really at least 2 out of those 3

Last A&M commit to cleanly flip to Texas was... Marcus Johnson?

Was about to post this as well. The timing is pretty interesting if one is to believe the Orangeblood's report that Fouonji and LVBS were scheduling their OVs for the same weekend. Please let Omeire be recruited to TE.

I don't see high reward with those athletic measureables unless he's a LJH clone.  He looks like a low floor, low ceiling player to me.  Weird ass take with the number of spots we have left and what's on tap for the next class. It's almost like we just wanted to take a toy from Jimbo.

I think Johnson publicly decommitted from A&M then publicly committed to Texas a few days later. Obviously he was a direct flip but it wasn't a publicly instant flip like this.

Our general board's reaction, which I am willing to bet is unique to the Texas boards, is basically "huh. well, okay, I hope they know what they're doing. oh, and hahahahaha fuck aggie."

I think that we've had it straight the whole way, and a credit to all of the posters. Now, who knows if we're right? I will happily be wrong here. As we discussed way earlier in this thread, my issue with any recruit is "do they have something truly elite that they bring to the table?" and if they don't, they just need to be pretty fucking great at playing football or have high, if not elite, marks on all physical components. If you get one of more of those boxes checked, the odds go way up that the recruit will be a contributor even if your program is top 5 in talent and production.

Does Omeire check any of those boxes? The one that legitimately fits is that he's pretty fucking good at football. He's had great reviews this season and he was an animal at times last year, if memory serves. He's close to elite in size (6'3", 220), hand size (10.5 inches - this is elite), wingspan (83 inch wingspan, this is actually truly elite) and allegedly he could be elite in toughness. So, you've got another Nigerian kid coming to Texas with a good work ethic, grades, and some of the physical wants for the recruitniks. This isn't Taylor Doyle or Michael Wilcoxon level prospect here. If he's the bottom of the class, fucking great.

Just add at least one out of Midland WR, LVBS, and Dixon and I'll be happy with the WRs.

GDCTJ is the man.. where do we send our $9.95 to? And could you do an annual top 30 state rankings?

He played through a lower leg injury in at least one of his games.

Don't think he has any LJ attributes. I guess I meant he either contributes as a good red zone/downfield target given measurables or is a total bust that never sees the field.

Shit, I didn't see the elbow tape at first lol. At first glance it looked like his arm was skinny as shit lol.

Two questions:

  1. How does he compare to the guy from Austin last year that went to Stanford? Name escapes me right now.
  2. For those that follow such things, how many milliseconds did it take aggy to start claiming that they cut him loose?

Elijah Higgins. Omeire has worse measurables.

About 800. Human reaction time plus latency plus time to write that out and hit send. The time it took to go from realizing what happened to initiating the process of reply tends to 0.

Nope.

But he's been fucking incredible this year, and I'm confident and competent enough to recognize that when I watch it unfold before me.

I went back and looked at Dixon's HUDL a week or so ago.  He looks like a decent prospect.  I dont know if my untrained eyes see anything exceptional.

I would be happy to be wrong but as it stands now I'm not going to be too upset if he signs with ARKY

I love it when texags does all the road recruiting work for us. Do they release the all-access video?

Queue the Texags “Jimbo backed off” talk.
Lol, as if he actually trained

i was also told by surly u cant improve your 40 time anyway, so no point in him staying either

This is 100% wrong. I dropped mine from 7.6 to 7.4.

Judging by the reactions across the CFB world, this flip was worth it just for the optics.  Definite #WRTS national perception for Herman right now.

Son of a fucking bitch. I should have been more overt. We should have had Longhornfrenzy go DM Liucci so the ATM staff could intervene.

So we let Kelvontay Dixon walk, will likely punt on Fuonji, who will go to somewhere like OSU or TCU and anger us for years, to take a fucking giraffe.

They're trying to get back in on Dixon. I hope they get it done. Fuck.

I'm not feeling this flip. There are too many great WR prospects to take one that runs like a freshman defensive lineman.
