2019 - 2020 Houston Rockets Thread of Heroes Taking Shots

Yep. He is throwing up 4-pointers without even trying to go by Dort.

Take him out now for recovery.

Why drive when you get fouled and the refs look at you? There was nearly 2 full quarters between a Rockets FTA. That's just bullshit with the amount of times Harden and Gordon drive into the lane. Something like 22+ to 2-3 FTA over the final 30 minutes.

  • Funny how late stage capitalism has morons itt defending an authoritarian communist regime because "muh profits"

  • He presumably doesn't have a problem with money at all. It sounds like you don't know what the fuck this entire situation is about, considering you think it's "hypocritical" for morey to operate under

Stupid game

stupid series

stupid Houston sports

Just when you start believing, they pull you back down. Probably will win this series, but don’t expect much more.

This organization as a whole doesn’t have the balls to compete for a championship.

Well I guess technically we won our 2 home games and they won their 2 home games. Series doesn't start until one team wins on the road!!

Yeah, it's not like they are missing an important person to this equation.

Yeah, it's not like they are missing an important person to this equation.

They had a 15 point lead in the 3rd. With one of the best offensive players in league history.

More importantly it’s always something with this team.

Defense was shit. Lots of reaching. Harden waiting to long to make a move or shoot. Guys get dead legs standing still on O. Harden was stubborn on offense, especially the sequence he shot 4 Dame range 3s in a row off the front iron. No excuse but the 300pm starts for a playoff game suck ass.  Get your shit together. Play Ben Macklemore more mins.

probably has nothing to do with the fact that both of them combined attempted FOUR shots in the paint in the 2nd half.  2 of them around the free throw line.

but sure, blame the officiating.

Defense looked like shit.

Frustrating game for sure.

Dumb passes, dumb shots, dumb fouls.

The only person that looked like he gave a shit yesterday was PJ.

I guess we'll see how hurt Russell really is...

Conspiracy theory: they sandbagged a couple games on purpose to give Westbrook more time to heal.

The free throw discrepancy is an inside job!

Morey needs to correlate fatigue and eFG.

My bet is there is a way to find out when the run of missed 3FGs is going to sustain due to fatigue.

And DAntoni should have rested Harden sooner. Harden was dead and it was visible. Flat foot on D. Refused to even try to drive on Dort or Schroeder... Throwing up 4FGs.

I know now... When Harden gets physically tired, his metal toughness goes quickly and he forgets basketball smart...

Throwing up deep 4s means long rebounds and fast runouts... PJ has the furthest to run, and has to run faster to not be late so he gets worn down an additional amount on top of how hard he works on defense... So then you have one of the leagues top corner 3FG shooters with dead legs...

Snowball... Bad shots lead to more transition D leads to more tired legs lead to short shots lead to more transition D leads to mental breakdowns leads to flat D and reaching leads to easy layups and 1s leads to more desperation offense leads to a loss...

Suit Russell up, even if his minutes are minimal. He used to play like Harden does at the end of games, but was worse as a shooter... He figured out his game is at the rack. EG needs to do. Rivers needs to do it. Anybody who is a ball handler needs to force okc to defend the rim late in games. Make Adams and Dort defend the lane and not foul.

My advice... Worth nothing.

The worst was that TO on the outlet pass. 60 seconds left down 1. Schroder makes a layup to make it a 3 point deficit. Just a horrible decision, as was playing McLemore 9 minutes. Your best 3 point shooter gets 9 fucking minutes. This is reason why D'Antoni needs to be gone in the off season. He sees no value in a deep bench, especially when other guys are just bricking shots.

Apparently, my home team Pacers want D'Antoni... I think he will be available...

I hope Myles Turner likes lobs.

Hmm... So you think the Thunder win the series..?

This is the same Rockets team we see every playoffs, they win convincingly then take their foot off the gas and end up in a 6/7 game series that should have been over in 5. It's why we will never win with a harden led team. What sucks is the Bubble has no homecourt advantage for anyonne and the Rockets have a legit opportunity at a title if and when they focus. I mean how many teams hit 23 three's and lose a game? the Clippers hit 22 last night and fucking scored 154 and won by 33.

What are you talking about?

2016 - 4-1 over OKC, 2-4 loss to Spurs

2017 - 4-1 over Timberwolves, 4-1 over Jazz, 3-4 loss to Warriors

2018 - 4-1 over Jazz, 2-4 loss to Warriors

2019 - 2-2 against OKC missing their 2nd best player.

2020 has been a bitch. Maybe it's more of a game to game you watch them let teams hang around. And don't we have a better record and play better without WB than we do with him? weren't you posting that the other day>

Of course, he planned to play now that there is a boycott.

MD is right, the owners are screwed. They can't penalize teams for taking a stance. The optics would be terrible. These games will have to be rescheduled.

And players may have chose a terrible test case to take a stand on. If the evidence doesn't match their feelings, it could get ugly. Breonna Taylor would have made a much better protest.

At least we made it to the final round this time.

Gonna be interesting the next few days. The bubble is getting contentious and several players want out. I don't think the NBA players will agree to play in a bubble next season

Well, as a Thunder fan, I just wanna say you guys played of a hell of a series. I knew we weren't gonna get past you. See you next season.

Gonna be interesting to see if the owners start cutting pay to guys that wont play. I am all for someone standing up for their rights and beliefs but there is also a sacrifice that comes with that, you don't work and wanna strike then you don't get paid.

The NBA has already said they aren't doing the bubble next year. They'll move to delay further to get closer to a vaccine.

There you go, P.J. Tucker.  A 6 of 9 start is exactly what we needed.

Bombing away!

How 'bout a 19-2 run to open the second half??

Edited by TexArcher

Eric Gordon just a wrecking ball out there right now

Uh, the league better have something to say to Schroder about that shit.

Home team now 5 for 5.

Wish the Rockets end it next game and not gift the Lakers time to recuperate with this frenetic schedule.
