Did Neto not also redshirt? Can't be much fucking worse than conner?

Okay so at least we are back to the starting line of “can’t be much worse”, which we have no evidence on.

Bobby Burton   I’m a Cam Williams fan. Daniel Jeremiah, ESPN NFL draft analyst, talked about Williams yesterday. It’s nice, yet unsurprising, that Williams is starting to turn head

Neto was missing blocks all over the place in the spring game. We've already seen Quinn get hurt this year, now is not the time to bring in a guy who could throw the entire left side of the OL into disarray. We'll live with Conner for now, especially since we'll be throwing a bit more with Brooks out.

We just aren't that good at run blocking.

It's really the same two guys every game. Conner and Majors just completely limit the ceiling of this room because they are not physical or nasty players.

Must be great being in the online room watching film of Conner pussy blocking and knowing no one can beat him out.

It took Campbell an entire redshirt year + like half a season to come into his own. Why do we think rolling out Neto in game 11 would be a good idea? I still don’t understand your point. We’ve never seen him in extended action. It’s wishcasting.

They made the change to Campbell when he showed he was ready and I’m sure they would do the same at another spot if the same thing happened.

Just my guess but Campbell is probably the reason Neto didn’t see time. He is coming on now, but he was really up and down through out the season. His PFF grades were pretty much in line with Conner on the season going into this week. I don’t think the coaches wanted to put Neto and Campbell out there, especially through the 1half of the season. Now that Campbell has settled down you could consider the move

This is why the Longhorns need to consider a portal OG. If they have no one they trust more than Hayden Conner, then they need more experienced talent at the position for next year.

Blowing leads???  Terrible job on 3rd/4th down short yardage offense.

Time for Coach Flood to get this O-line shit fixed !!!

For the sake of being even-handed, the OL and Hayden Conner in particular had a hell of a game on Saturday in Ames. Conner was actually moving his feet on contact and driving people 2-3 yards on more than one occasion.

Hopefully he maintains that level of nasty going forward. Good job guys.

I hope Neto can figure it out going into next year, dude is nasty.

Which guard was it that drove a guy about 7 yards to the ground on a false start penalty?

Too nasty. Gotta rein it in a bit and keep it closer to the whistle

Run blocking seems better the last two games.

Are we running more outside zone now with these different backs? Maybe we are just a better run-blocking team on the perimeter.

DJ Campbell continues to develop. This is tremendous by the sophomore RG.

Earlier in the year Goosby was coming in.

Believed it was mentioned that they wanted to save Goosby's redshirt so he was held out

Texas's Cam Williams is the only Big 12 OT with over 100 pass-blocking snaps in conference play who hasn't allowed a QB pressure this season.

He is going to be an NFL player. Jones has been very good, but I wish Flood found more ways to get him PT.  Texas is 11-1, so obviously nitpicking.

Banks was fired up when he crushed that Lb by the goal line.

Its funny because Baxter wasn't even in the end zone at that point. He was celebrating the big hit not the score.

I met his aunt last night while eating dinner.  She saw my Longhorn logo and we had quite a conversation about her nephew-and she loved it when I called him a road grader.

Another thing that needs to be praised is the ability to develop Christian Jones into a right tackle. We all heard the stories of how the staff thought he was going to be good and in the beginning I couldn't see it. He held on to that right tackle spot and lived there.  Gonna miss him next season.

I said it before, but Hayden Conner has been blocking his ass off for the last 2-3 games.

Glad to see him picking up his level of play, keep it up.

#3787

Agree there. Without the benefit of a redshirt, his learning curve was always going to be steep. He didn't get the chance to focus on strength for a year.

That RT spot is gonna be tough to battle next season. Besides Williams don't cojoe and goosby project there as well, along with baker?

I think Goobsy is getting run at LT.  May take over for Banks in 25' season.

Two Washington guys on that list. The LT probably isn't far behind either.

How does a 270 lb center have that high of a pass grade?

Don't gotta be big to be effective. He's athletic, plays with good leverage, and consistently uses good technique out there. You almost never see him off balance out there. He's also flanked and assisted by two giant guards.
