December 31, 20231 yr Bobby Burton was asked "Is Peyton Kirkland still the heir apparent to Kelvin Banks?" Answer: No right now. Trevor Goosby and Jaydon Chatman are fighting for that right now. Chatman may also be able to play on the interior. Kirkland has been injured a bit this year and fallen behind Goosby, Chatman, and Stroh. So Kirkland and Andre Cojoe are a little behind right now. First time I have heard that Peyton Kirkland was ever the heir apparent to Banks
January 2, 20241 yr that was a asskicking delivered by the oline on that TD run by blue. i don't think i have ever seen an entire dline disappear like that LFG

January 5, 20241 yr Really need the OL to take another step forward next year, especially in short yardage. A little surprised if there's no competition for Majors to try to get bigger there

July 16, 20241 yr It’s not an off-season without a center discussion. How we feeling about Jake Majors? I assume we probably get the best version of him as a 23 year old 5th year starter. He’s battle tested, he’s been on the opposite side of some great defensive linemen in his time here. You also got a young dog in Cole Hutson who is big, violent , sharp, and ready for another starting shot. You got Hayden Conner who may also potentially be seeking a path back into the starting lineup. You have a young protégé in Daniel Cruz who everyone is excited about. Discuss.

July 16, 20241 yr Sark has been pretty open about wanting to run the ball at will since he was hired. Especially in predictable situations, like redzone trips. That just hasn’t happened. Teams were also keying in on inside zone RPO pretty heavily towards the end of the season. Talking points to consider.
July 16, 20241 yr Majors is starting unless he gets injured. Nothing to discuss there. Connor Robertson is the likely backup. Hayden Conner is also likely to start but there will be a battle in fall camp for the reasons you mentioned wrt the run game

August 23, 20241 yr Missed this announcement. And today after recruit announcement today Good article... may be a rising star 🤘 https://www.ktsm.com/sports/college-sports/utep/former-utep-lineman-derron-gatewood-takes-coaching-job-at-texas/
August 23, 20241 yr From Gatewoods post saw this and couldn't pass up posting: just noticed the machine had already posted in the recruiting thread.... (an hour prior of course) Edited August 23, 20241 yr by MonkeyDoughnut
August 27, 20241 yr Tonight Bobby Burton on OTF "Talkin' Ball" Cole Hutson and Neto Umeozulu with good fall camps are making it tough on Coach Flood for more playing time... Says DJ Campbell has not had a great camp.

September 8, 20241 yr Author Popular Post For me that was the best part of the game. We finally have a nasty oline, that ain't putting up with shit.
September 8, 20241 yr Our line has some mean, nasty motherfuckers on it. SEC Unfiltered named our line the best in the conference. I agree.
September 8, 20241 yr The Helm and the OL play are my biggest take aways today, just zero ‘but’ about how much they dominated even before fatigue set in. That was final drive @ bama but from the opening gun really (save penalty bullsh… that hold on Cam was weak shit based on angles Fox showed)
September 8, 20241 yr Next year will be rough sailing, but at least we'll have a 3rd year Goosby at LT, Cam Williams at RT (I hope), Cruz or Robertson/Cruz at Center, Campbell at RG, and Neto at LG. Not bad. They just need to gel. That's hard to do, but Flood knows how to get them working. Shut, if Cam leaves we may get Baker st RT since he's coming along nicely

We appear to be nimble, powerful and motivated now on the oline. I am wondering if its the best unit on the team now, outside of maybe a stacked d-backfield and QB room. I never, ever thought I would see that. Fucking hell Sark well goddamn done.
September 8, 20241 yr As a big a hater as I am of him…Hayden Conner I think had his best game yesterday after a rewatch.

September 8, 20241 yr What are the thoughts on this call? Seems likely Cam has his jersey but hands seem inside the pads. I know we have waited in vain for years to have worse holding than this called against OU..

September 8, 20241 yr I thought it was a bad call. The hands are inside and it doesn't look like he pulled the jersey. It looks like Cam just has really long arms so he was able to maintain contact and push the guy over with strength.
September 8, 20241 yr Cam had a rough start but once he settled in he was very good again. The whole line was awesome yesterday, and that holding call was BS. excited about this year and next year. Goosby-Neto-Hutson-Campbell-Williams will be a good ass line.
September 8, 20241 yr Another big thing I noted after the game was the quantity of shit calls against Texas. And we just brushed them off, and went in dry anyways. 🤘
