God no. But I guess if you have a weak ass sequel to a mediocre origin film you're trying to turn into a franchise, a reboot prequel isn't the worst route to take.

You are being too kind.

They're really trying hard to get this series going.

Haven't seen either of the first two.....are they any good?

The 1st is a guilty pleasure. #2 I never saw, but I'm told it stinks.

The 1st one ends with our hero fucking a princess up her ass.

You probably think I'm joking.

the first one is definitely worth a watch.  good story and a lot of fun.

i couldn't make it thru the 2nd.

The Freebird Church Slaughter scene in the first movie is some of the most entertaining and well-done violence in the history of cinema.

That scene was great.

Also, Julianne Moore was really good. I usually hate her because she comes off like  over-stressed housewife in the midst of a suicidal breakdown. Here she was super fun and super sexy.

Also really liked the Elton John fight scene.

she was in the second one only.

I watched a chunk of the second one on hotel cable.  The drinking scenes were fun to watch as I raided the mini-bar.  I turned it off after the people started turning purple.

You're right. I was thinking the church scene was in the second movie, but they only tacked on something at the very end.

The first one is a very fun action movie with one of the best action scenes in cinema.  The second one is awful.

First is very good. second is alright, but had some stupidity.

Pretty much all these.

This actually looks like a good reboot.

I'm a fan of unlimited unnecessary violence and gore - but these movies were to over the top for me.
but if you're into gore, and blood and such then give it a go

Bloody and violent with some butt sex?

Sounds like a good movie......

.....or a good second date.

It was pretty good and entertaining, but totally fell apart at the end.

They surprisingly got many historical details roughly correct. Rhys Ifans was hilarious as Rasputin.

It was kind of a letdown. The production quality was high, like everything that Matthew Vaughn does, but the bad guy was lame. Rasputin was the only remotely interesting character.

KM1: Samuel Jackson

KM2: Julianne Moore

KM3: who the fuck is that guy?

Exactly what I was thinking.

I enjoy a bit of historical fiction but yeah the lead villain had no build up. Overall it was worth a watch imo. The silent fight was a fun idea.

Show a muthafucka some respect.

my wife and i wondered if it was even a kingsman script, or if it was something floating around that they just added three scenes to it so that it could be considered part of the franchise.

Silent fight was bad ass.   Would watch that over and over.

This.

Over all pretty meh.  Rasputin and silent fight were the best parts.  I think I kept watching only because I was intrigued by the historical tie ins.

I really hope that the end credit scene isn't a precursor of the next installment, if there is one.   Keep it modern, action based and fun to watch (ex. Elton John cameo).
