Former NFL star Adrian Peterson gets in a fist fight with a man over a poker hand at a social club in Houston.Peterson says he's "cool" with the guy and it was "like a brother situation."I'm just impressed the guy lasted this long against an NFL RB.pic.twitter.com/zLF9ilDo4X

Maybe that was one of his sons who called his hand?

Don't think so, Adrian would have gone to the belt if it was one of his sons.

My thought is Adrian was ready to throw the first punch, realized he couldn't afford any more legal issues,  couldn't back down because he just couldn't back down, and waited for the other guy.

The simple explanation is usually the right one: he was clearly at a .32 BAC with how those sluggish right hooks looked. To the untrained eye, he just looks like a fit 45 year old trying to fight, but that's because he's highly functioning alky.

Video cut out way too soon.  AP clearly had the upper hand once he pinned him against the wall, but we don't get to see how it developed from there.

Lulz. Some joint called jokerstars, who promptly threw the video up on their social media.

Good little scrap, boys. Better than some douche pulling out a gun and ending someone’s life for absolutely no reason. I think the little Armenian won this round.

#269

It’s times like this I’m glad he threw a fit and didn’t come to Texas. All because Mack Brown told him that Cedric Benson was going to be the featured back so he threw a tantrum and went to OU instead.

Peterson should be an entrant on plenty of death pools going forward. I'd put his o/u at 55 years.

He’ll live way longer than he should, but when he dies he and OJ can compare resumes.

AP v. JFF

If I was the oddsmaker, JFF is a heavy favorite.

AP is not a great poker player.  That guy is an idiot for trying to fight him.  Not because he's a former professional athlete, but because it probably is cutting into his profits.

If hypothetically I was AP and I got into a fight at a poker club, the last thing I would want is that stupid card room to blast the video on the internet.

And as always with fight videos, fire the video guy.

In a strip mall shopping center with a Laundromat on one side running 20 8 liners in a back room and a Korean nail salon on the other.

AD can’t fight at all lol. Dude was an eyelash away from being on video knocking out a HOFer for eternity.

You need to be a bit more specific for me to pin it down to which part of Houston.

Was there a THC store in the strip center?  A cell phone store?  Maybe a shipping store or a liquor store run by an Asian or Indian?

To win Heismans and national championships was his reason if memory serves, of which he won a combined total of....0

He did get to play in exciting BCS games against USC (lost 55-19) and Boise State (lol trick plays game, lost 43-42). He got his revenge on Mack by going 1-2 vs. Texas with his team scoring 34 total points in those games.

Doesn’t that jackass have the Red River single game rushing record or something?

Getting popped for a DUI in Houston and at 10am has got to be mathematically impossible....

That just means he was probably north of .20 a few hours earlier

I've played poker with him in Houston. Wonder if he played overnight and they started serving at 7am and he was able to get sloshed.

I don’t know about that, but he should have been the first freshman to win the Heisman.  Not Johnny Football.

But idiot Heisman voters wouldn’t dream of voting for a freshman over Jason White that same season.

White had a great season, but a freshman running back ran for 1,900 yards in a season.   That’s more impressive than Crabtree getting 1,900 yards receiving based on where each of them receives the ball in relation to the line of scrimmage.

But he’s a moron that beats kids with a switch and he’s a drunk.

A friend’s husband is a prof at OU.  We talked football at a NYE party before that Orange Bowl they played against USC.

He assured me that Jason White and A.D. and their defense would win them the game.

He does not like reminders that the only thing worse than Ashley Simpson’s halftime performance was the showing OU made on the field.

The NFL All-Pro Fuck-Up Roster sports some pretty serious talent:

QB: Vick

Backs: AD, Ray Rice, OJ

WR/TE: Plaxico, Irvin, Aaron Hernandez

OL: Jason Peters, Barrett Robbins

Def: Ray Lewis, Aldon Smith, Pacman Jones, Darren Sharper (hardest hitting mfer in the league)
