If you are in Oregon, who is going to stop you from shipping something to Texas?

Hometown Hero and 3Chi are both fine and currently legal. I would assume that Hometown Hero either closes or moves out of state by September though.

He can see drugs mailed from Oregon and the east coast

Hometown Hero has already moved to that bastion of progressive thought and individual liberty (compared to Texas): Oklahoma.   They knew this was coming.  No disruption to their Texas service yet.

He's keeping an eye on it.

We finally stopped getting mail addressed to the decedent from whose estate we purchased our house 20+ years ago.  I guess she is about to start getting mail again....

They always recommend that you don't mail it in a fake name, but I never bothered to understand why

Are we sure Abbott would sign the bill?  I mean he’s all for psychedelics but he’s going to take our THC?

Would be an all-time showdown between Hot Wheels and Lt Dan if he vetoed and sent it back to the Lege for them to do responsible and reasonable regulations instead of an outright ban...

I mean I was just looking for a little ray of hope possibly. I don’t think he agrees with Lt Dan but he will probably cave to the pressure from him and all the others with sticks up their ass.

With all the shitty news in the world, the mention of NowThis never ever fails to make me laugh. I went back and took a screenshot of his post just to liven up the mood and get the new people up to speed about this joke. Never forget.

I expect he goes with whatever his polling tells him helps a 2028 POTUS campaign....

Make weed illegal

makes more weed dealers

makes more drug rips

makes more murders

The #1 reason for murders in my populous cenTex county is drug rips of WEED (specifically) dealers. Dealer getting killed. Robber getting killed. Felony murder rule getting applied in the most fantastic ways, like robber who didn’t fire a shot charged with murder of dead co-robber killed by dealer; dealer shoots at robber, misses and kills his friend, robber charged with murder. Castle Doctrine chaos

so we have that to look forward to

Bro you are using entirely too much critical thinking. Gonna go WOKE thinking that much

Siap, an ok summary of the basics, but you'll get better technical information from lifers and advocates.

In the 45 minute press conference about 3 weeks ago Lt. Dan and others really seem to be conflating synthetic products and extreme THC with the flower bud that people want legal. All of the horror stories seemed to come from minors and the synthetic products. I kept hearing, "This ain't your Grand Daddy's weed!" Well then, legalize my 'Grand Daddy's' weed.

I haven't smoked since 2017. Haven't smoked regularly in 20+ years. Started too early though, 15-16yrs.

Weed made me want to be a better more productive person. Alcohol made me the boss, and I didn't have to do anything I didn't want to. So I gave up the first. Was looking forward to a personal reversal here in a couple of months. Perfect timing, thanks Life.

There is a huge disconnect between “synthetic” and “artificial” that people aren’t understanding. Delta-8 is naturally occurring in the cannabis plant. It’s “synthetic” because obtaining it in large amounts from hemp requires the isomerization of CBD, which comes from hemp. This is like turning glucose into fructose. Things like “K2” and “Spice” are artificial because they are man made and not naturally occurring.

Delta-9, the THC which is the main component of marijuana (from the cannabis plant), is also naturally found in hemp. Hemp derived Delta-9 is federally legal as long as the dry weight is 0.3%. So all the THC drinks with 10mg of hemp-derived Delta-9 in them are technically legal because 10mg of THC in a ~12 oz can is under the 0.3% weight limit. The same goes with the weight of gummies. This leads me to believe the alcohol industry is heavily involved in banning this because THC drinks have really been taking off.

He better be careful if he's moving to the Tulsa area. A mob guy from New York moved there a couple years ago.

Just misspell your name or change it slightly

Hypothetically if someone in Central TX wanted to stock up on a few things before this goes into effect, what are some reliable and reputable businesses to patronize?

Check out Chill Country. I’m not a connoisseur but I do enjoy their gummies.

Dan Patrick looks like he drives a Subaru, if you catch my drift.

Don't threaten me with a good time.

16,000 mg of thc in a bag of edibles seems extreme but I'm no MD and have no idea what its effects would be. It's amazing the state can regulate alcohol percentages but can't figure out a way to regulate thc. Nanny state motherfuckers.

He's trying to distract from the reporting about how his bill will decimate the hemp farmers, and he gets the bonus of ginning up pressure on Abbott to sign it. You can buy all kinds of dangerous shit online, but this is what we're crying about? Fuck him and those pussies standing around him.

Sure, if you are in Texas’s you cannot provide something via mail.
If you are in Oregon, who is going to stop you from shipping something to Texas? Now once you open it in Texas you are in possession in Texas and breaking the law.

My sister was a AUSA in OR and regularly mailed gummies to my wife in Texas.

IIRC they said to use the USPS because they'd need a federal warrant to intercept vs a state warrant for UPS or FedEx.

It's safer to eat 16,000 mg of THC than it is to be a 12 year old boy around Dan Patrick.

Would have been awesome if the person he threw it at jumped back and shrieked like Lt Dan was throwing leprosy at them

I feel he could've had a better press conference if he handed out pearls to everyone that they could clutch while he did his 2025 take on DARE.
