And once again Ted Fucking Cruz is seemingly on the right side of something.

What in the blue hell is going on!

If the backlash in Texas of all places was enough to stifle it here, then I feel like the backlash nationwide will be even stronger. Let the dumbass republicans continue to dig their own graves.

I feel like this is throwing a bone to the alcohol industry, which are really feeling Great Again after all these tariffs

Seems like one party in particular continues to expand corporate freedom while shrinking personal freedoms.

So in states where weed isn't legal people could get high on THC soda? That seems really weird. How would this kill the THC soda instustry though? Weed is still legal in a bunch of states. Those sodas are in every Oklahoma dispensary. I don't partake because they are way too strong, I only do low dose edibles.

And edibles, and vapes, and flower...

weed is super dangerous but GUNS FOR EVERYONE!!!!!!

Weed is still illegal at the federal level. Not sure why this new addition will make any difference on the state level.

Because there was a loophole in the 2018 Farm Bill that federally legalized THC derived from hemp. That loophole is being closed

Right - which makes THC illegal in all forms at the federal level, yet weed is legal in a bunch of states. Couldn’t this just be the same thing?

This ban won't go into effect for another year so my suspicion is that something will happen in the meantime.

You can get that legally in Texas?

I had to look this up, so THC can come from hemp or from cannibus plants. They accidentally legalized it from hemp but can't these sodas still be made from cannibis derived THC? And can't it still be made from hemp THC and sold in states where it's legal? Sorry if these are dumb questions, I'm not familiar with a lot of this stuff and am sort of confused.

Yes. As long as it’s less than .3% delta-9 THC, including precursors, by weight. USPS delivered this to a friends house.

Ok, so now we just need Texas to legalize weed then. Easy peasy.

Legal weed states have tended to ban hemp-derived THC so those can't be sold there. I would think cannabis-derived THC seltzers would be able to be made and sold there but the hemp-derived seltzer makers are losing half of their market instantly

Huh, I thought Delta 9 wasn't THC. Is a 10mg edible of this the same as from cannibis? I take Wyld 10mg gummies and can only take half at a time. I'm a fucking lightweight.

Yes. They are the same. The Delta-8 shit is what's shit.

D9 is what's present in the actual plant. D8 is synthetic.

I’m in the same boat as you. I, uh, my friend just got these and hasn’t had an opportunity to try one. I’ll let you know how it goes.
