Her: Well, today (Thursday) you pick up boys X, Y, Z from school and I'll come get them at your office at 4:30. You then have a Scouts meeting at 6:30. What time will you be home? I need you to be home by 6 so I can take boy X to baseball. Can you pick him up at 9? Friday, boy X is camping and doing the long hike for Philmont. You saw where they changed the venue to be able to get a longer hike, right? He's going with his friend and his dad and they are bringing him home on Saturday, thank God. They are so great for doing that. Saturday, let's see, I talked to boy X's coach and they might have some games. It's the last weekend of the season for actual games. They don't start up again until February. But I told him he can't do any games on Saturday until probably 3 or 4, so I'm waiting to hear back from the coach. Boy Z has basketball at 8 a.m. instead of 10 a.m. because the gym wasn't available at the school so they moved it to a park. So I'm going to take him instead of going to work out. Then I'm going to get a massage because a girl is doing them for only $40. So I'll bring Boy Z home from basketball. Then nothing until Boy X gets home and you have to take him to his baseball game because I'm going to assist with that training when Chica comes to town and she'll be here this weekend and I will make $50 an hour. Is there a game on this weekend? Do you know what time it is? Do you want me to Google it? Me: It's at 2:30. But I don't care about it. Her: Okay, great. Me: And Sunday? Her: (Honestly, at this point all I heard was Charlie Brown adult voice, "Wah, wah, wahwahwah.") Does she have nice tits to stare at? That's the only way I would be able to hold it together through all of that nonsense.

November 24Nov 24 We have a L-shaped kitchen with a too-big island in the middle. It's tight, and when I'm in the kitchen, I prefer everyone to GTFO. Anyway, I'm trying to prep veggies. My daughter decides it's a good time to start making a dessert, and my wife also decides it's a good time to stand next to me and make sure I thoroughly wash the broccoli. So instead of roasted broccoli with crushed, browned garlic, we're going to have boiled broccoli because I'm not going to have someone micro-manage how I cook. I swear, I can be upstairs on my computer for hours, or sit on the couch to watch TV. But as soon as I go into the kitchen to cook something, she'll come stand next to me. I wouldn't mind if she was a good cook, but she doesn't under textures, mouth feel, when to cook with high heat, low heat, and how to get the best of both worlds, the flow and sequence of when to put the ingredients in. And she also scoops out dishwashing liquid because I use too much... Edited November 24Nov 24 by Superhero

She's a decent cook and is great at baking. My son doesn't do well in the kitchen, but makes our steaks - he's got the prep down, checks the temperature, and insists on butter basting as the final step to a good steak.

The only way to cook a steak is to reverse sear.

November 25Nov 25 Background: We're going to Calgary for our Christmas ski trip, and also visiting my wife's good friend who has 2 kids. We've got suitcases for the 4 of us and a large suitcase that will barely fit our helmets, bibs, boots, etc.) So we've been getting tons of Amazon and Target boxes delivered to the house. No biggie since she's responsible with her money and she makes more than me anyway. One box contained a stuffed animal a bit bigger than one of those 2.5 gallon water jugs from the grocery store. Me: Who's this for? Her: Friend's son. Me: Okay. How are you going to bring it? Her: I'm thinking of putting it the big luggage with the ski stuff. Me: The one that barely holds all the stuff? Her: Oh... The woman has a masters degree in bio-stats and is pretty damn good at her job, but can't cook worth a lick and is bad at spatial recognition. Edited November 25Nov 25 by Superhero
November 26Nov 26 Popular Post We're watching the Daytripper episode about Denison, they're going on about Eisenhower and the interstate system. Her, "Is that why they all start with I?"

That’s what my wife and I did when we had to remodel after Hurricane Harvey. It makes a huge difference when cooking for holidays, etc.

November 28Nov 28 The wife and a friend ate edibles and went to the Museum, went to Hugo's for Margaritas etc. They've been gone since 1. They just got back here hammered, with a bunch of snacks, wine and firewood...watching tik tok vids, playing music.... and with apparent plans to commandeer the living room....just in time for the game. FML, I'll be upstairs.
