November 10, 20241 yr Not sure why we're in such a rush. Don't take these free kicks until the ref gives you a yellow.
November 10, 20241 yr Not a fan of Ange Kelly but a pretty damn good coaching job considering what we've lost. Lost the best striker in the country and an all-conference caliber defender but still found a way to win a SEC title and earn a top 16 seed.

November 10, 20241 yr As mediocre as Kelly is, this is an awesome outcome for her team. We know they’ll choke in the NCAA, so winning the conference title and getting in their craw suffices.

November 10, 20241 yr Only thing I would change right now is Chloe Shimkin has really come on late in the year. We need to stop subbing Chloe Shimkin for Villareal. Those 2 need to be playing together on the wing.

Unexpected after the Byars injury but preseason I would have not been surprised at all if we won a SEC championship. IMO this is a national title contending team with Byars.
November 10, 20241 yr Great addition to the trophy case, ladies! Here’s the second that the ball crossed the goal. Didn’t realize at first that it was through the defender’s legs. Crazy small scoring zone that worked out!
November 10, 20241 yr Dream scenario is us getting a 3 seed and TCU a 2 seed. Sending us to Forth Worth for a potential Sweet 16 match-up. That would be very winnable.

November 10, 20241 yr Chris Henderson thinks we're probably getting a 3 seed. Damn, we were probably 1 good result against Iowa, Miss State, or Arkansas from potentially hosting the first 3 rounds of the NCAA tournament.
November 11, 20241 yr Why do hats the players got and some official posts say “SEC Tournament Champion”? Doesn’t winning this tourney make them the champions, period?

The Florida loss (RPI 115) and Bama draw (RPI 81) are the black marks on the resume. Or else we would probably be a 2 seed with winning the SECT

November 11, 20241 yr Iowa got a 3 seed, and that would have been our spot if we didn’t 0-0 draw against them in Austin. Sweet 16 is our NCAA ceiling just like it always is. At least we got our SEC tournament title.

November 12, 20241 yr The seeding of this entire bracket was just weird. TCU is a 5 seed after winning the Big 12 and finishing #15 in RPI? Huh?
November 12, 20241 yr The biggest issue with these committees is they prioritize certain regional matchups instead of just pairing teams based on their actual resume/profile.
November 12, 20241 yr Sounds like Kelly was pretty confused with the seeding too. Understandable, we probably should have been a 3 seed at worst.

Nah, even the bracketologists (like the Chris Henderson guy above) said we are a borderline 2 based on our resume. At least historically. Not only were we a 4 but the worst 4 since we're playing the #1 overall seed. This seeding is just bad. I could understand a 3 seed but the worst 4 in the bracket? That's way off. But, there were some dumb seedings all the way around like TCU.

Cheap ass NCAA.

Just a stones throw from Austin Definitely don’t know enough about NCAA soccer if it’s a lack of sites in the NE/upper Midwest. Happens in softball But I still maintain that sub-100 RPI loss dragged us down
