October 19Oct 19 Author Lost 4-2 lol Holy crap she’s so done. 4 second half goals given up Edited October 19Oct 19 by Js1
October 20Oct 20 CDC needs to attend the game on Sunday. After the game he can allow Ange a moment to address the team in the lockeroom for a season concluding message, and then it’s on to CDCs office to get the pink slip.

Or, you know, he could just fire her whatever way he chooses.

October 20Oct 20 Officially in last place in the conference. No shot to make the SEC Tournament now. One game left in the season. Please let it be over.
October 26Oct 26 Texas leads 2-0 at halftime against Ole Miss in the season finale. This is a real pillow fight between two teams combining for 1 win in SEC play.
October 27Oct 27 Ended up as a 2-0 final for Texas. Season is over with no shot at postseason play (4-12-1, 2-8). Now, the wait begins. Edited November 3Nov 3 by MuellerHorn

I'm sure the guy at TCU is an obvious inclusion on the list given some success and worked there under CDC. Who else who should be under consideration?

Eric Bell UCLA coach (No real ties to UCLA and that travel schedule sucks)

She is a Santa Clara/Stanford girl, so not sure if she would want to leave Calf. But she should get a phone call. Young, great results. Won nat champ in 22.

So we can pay. And we can offer her a better travel schedule than cross country trips in the B1G I’d def make the call if Bell wants to stay at TCU. But I’d be hard pressed to think he’d not jump at the Texas job.

Yes Bell seems more like the obvious pull. Aozasa's husband is an assistant coach for angel city FC in the women's league.. So not sure how much that ties them to SoCal
October 28Oct 28 Author I don’t think it matters to anyone but Plonsky and the cat lady cabal, but hiring a man would leave Capitani as the only female HC left at Texas
October 28Oct 28 3 out of the last 4 directors cups won by CDC compared to 0 directors cups all-time won by Plonsky and co. The cat lady cabal can sit and claw in the corner while CDC looks for the best available candidate and he won’t be factoring in gender or ethnicity, which is partly why he has been successful in building the athletic department
October 28Oct 28 The A&M coach just announced his “retirement”. Given how their season went, not much better than ours, he was likely going to be fired if he didn’t retire, I would imagine. Edited October 28Oct 28 by perfectchaos007

They changed the rules or else it's doubtful Stanford's reign would have come to an end. It went from all sports counting, to only the top 20 results counting. That's a big difference, especially when Stanford fields 36 teams, many of which don't have all that many competitors. Often very west coast centric. There's a part of me that feels like we should be incentivizing schools to field more sports, but it's certainly galvanized how competitive it is doing it this way, and it's without a doubt been in our favor. Which is not to say Plonsky did a great job, or that we're not better off with Del Conte. She did not, and we are. But the Director's Cup comparison is not a good one. Also, can we go ahead and hire a new soccer coach. Please.

November 8Nov 8 Man, this sucks. Quote In April, Hamant was diagnosed with Stage 4 kidney cancer, and stepped away from the team to begin chemotherapy treatment. She received support across the Washington athletic department, including from Huskies wide receiver Denzel Boston after their 42-25 victory over No. 23 Illinois on Oct. 25. Hamant attended the game, and sounded the siren at Husky Stadium two weeks before her death. https://www.espn.com/soccer/story/_/id/46885068/university-washington-goalkeeper-mia-hamant-dies-21-kidney-cancer
November 10Nov 10 In-State teams that made the field of 64. Seeding in parenthesis. (#5) Baylor Texas State (#2) TCU (#6) Texas Tech UTSA Houston Christian Maybe our next coach is coaching one of these teams

November 12Nov 12 Vanderbilt won the SEC championship and earned a #1 seed in the NCAAs, yet we somehow beat them in the regular season. We had the talent to beat really good teams, but Ange did a horrible coaching job. Our season opening loss to the southland team was so embarrassing and she should have been fired for that alone
