I might not buy it if you break it down to hours spent per vehicle. Literally millions upon millions of cars are on the road every day in America carrying hundreds of millions of Americans a day for what has to be billions of hours a week in vehicle for every person in America. If you take all vehicle fatalities from the US in a year and can somehow calculate every hour spent in a vehicle by every person in the US in a year I think it's very possible that ratio is smaller than if you calculate every hour spent in the air in an aircraft in America in a year divided by the number of fatalities from aircraft in a year. I have no idea how you'd even begin to calculate accurate numbers of vehicle hours per year in America for every person so I think that statistic you stated is probably bullshit.
