The most accurate kicker in the history of the NFL deserves his own thread.

For those who haven't seen it, Justin is featured on this month's episode of Real Sports (HBO).  It's definitely worth a watch.  Dude sings opera...should I have already known that?

He trained under Sydmill Harris' dad.

I choose to think he did that on purpose to give the Steelers fans that started cheering false hope.

Tucker FTMFW!

Still pissed the Texans passed on him and drafted that fat Aggie.

I heard he sang opera with Sydmill Harris and Harry Belafonte.

IN addition to that, he's on his way to being the all-time great.  Kudos to him,  Hook 'em Justin!

Tucker nailed that kick in College Station, like ice, with the weight of the state on his shoulders.

All of this other non-sense is just a piece of cake to him and he's proven it over and over.

Best kicker in the history of the game.

Lamar said Tucker kicks 65 yarders just fuckin around in practice...  I think you're on to something.

Every time he makes one, my son and I have to do the "Yustin Tocker!!!!" like the guy from the Spanish radio broadcast of the aggy winner.

And later in an interview,  Mark Ingram said the team calls him "Automatuck".

Career

Under 40 yards = 98.6%

40-49 yds = 89.3%

50+ yds = 70.9%

Overall = 90.6%

the most accurate kicker in nfl history.  has a 50+ yarder every season.  has missed 1 PAT in his entire career.

can someone explain why he earns less than some scrub QBs, or why he hasnt made the pro bowl every single year?

Looks like he's missed two PATs, one each this year and last.  They should probably cut him.

That's 145 out of 147 attempts, and never once missed inside of 30 years.

Why don't more NFL teams draft kickers?  Seems weird to just hope to pick up an UDFA kicker considering how special teams are kind of a big deal.

It's the same thinking that led Mack to not offer scholarships to kicker for a couple of years and it came back to bite us in the ass.  It's also why Mason Crosby ended up at Colorado instead of UT.

Agree the same could be said for colleges and scholarships.  If you are willing to offer one for a kicker you pretty much can get you pick of the litter since most schools don't.  Any team in the NFL could have drafted Tucker and ended their kicking woes for the next how ever many years.  Not many kickers are Tucker caliber, but you don't have spend a top pick hell just a 6th rounder pretty much will get you first dibs at any kicker on the board.
