April 3, 20187 yr I'm a complete newbie to prepaid cellphone services. I've always been one of the sheep, using whatever plan Verizon or AT&T offered up. I'm currently close to paying off the phone I got with Verizon (Edge plan I think) and then I'd like to go prepaid, as it looks a hell of a lot cheaper. Talk to me like I'm a 54 year old. What is the best plan of attack? EDITED TO ADD- I don't want to use my current phone. Edited April 3, 20187 yr by Equinox
April 3, 20187 yr I've been using "US Mobile", which lets you configure a prepaid plan depending how much airtime/data/texts etc. you need. Works for me, but I have very minimal phone use. If you use your phone a lot (esp. data) there are probably better providers. https://www.usmobile.com/plans
April 4, 20187 yr I just prepaid about 3 months worth on at&t this weekend to take advantage of the 1st quarter 5% cash back on Chase.
