Finally...someone noticing the extra win the SEC gets and trying to do something about it.

Herman answered to the effect that he likes starting with a G5 as a warmup and then playing a marquee game.

Kurt has bad autocorrect on “where” or “when” for “whether”?

Asked about the passing of Ced

A: tragic. One of the best that ever played here. Will be missed by a lot. Thinking and praying for his family.

This is the week Tom needs to call Leach and find out how to win a game with 0 yards rushing.

@Machinator I will be very disappointed in you if you don’t use this data to tell us the exact starting depth chart.

Asked if Jake Smith is an option at RB

A: we have him at the slot and punt returner so we didn’t want to put that on his plate right now

I actually like this move a lot. Smith is raw and needs to learn the slot position. I’d rather not steal from his development there unless they absolutely have to.

Yeesh. Still don’t like that Boyce is leading. Hopefully he’s improved a lot, but he was so bad last year, it’s hard to image him starting is a good thing. Sounds like our second corner position will need some help, no matter which of the three start.

I know there have been reports of inconsistency during camp, but I will be flabbergasted if Anthony Cook isn't starting opposite of Green for LSU.

Cook started multiple games last year - hard to believe someone with his speed and cover skills got beat by Boyce

Cook is out for the 1st half of the La Tech game due to the targeting penalty from Georgia.  Boyce "starting" week 1 doesn't necessarily indicate anything about Boyce vs. Cook.

Maybe Herman is trying to name a starter who is allowed by NCAA to start.

edit: Katfid beat me to it

It is possible for a player to improve between his RS Freshman year and his Soph year.  I look at this as a good thing if Cook hasn't beat him outright.  Need depth.
