August 30, 20196 yr Zach Evans couldn't carry Bijan's jock if you handed him a motorized wheelbarrow.

August 30, 20196 yr Looks like he's saving himself in HS. No doubt he'll try to do the same in college.

August 30, 20196 yr Katy D is salty AF. They should be up by a couple touchdowns if not for the mistakes.
August 30, 20196 yr Katy’s Jordan Patrick looks electric. Run game is typical Katy football, but agree that the Katy defense looks better than usual. I generally hate all things Katy, but given the recent developments at North Shore, I couldn’t be happier with a potential Katy win.

August 30, 20196 yr Dameion George with a stupid penalty after the play to nullify a 3rd and 10 conversion by NS. So glad we didn’t have to waste a scholarship on him.
August 30, 20196 yr Damien george with his second penalty of the game. This one during a crucial drive late in the 4th. Evans still nonexistent outside of one run early
August 30, 20196 yr Katy running backs are like Wisconsin running backs, deep down you just know they're over rated.
August 30, 20196 yr someone explain to me how Evans is the #1 recruit in the nation. I've seen him twice now, meh.

August 30, 20196 yr Wasn't a certain rb's criticism of UT beating Georgia something along the lines like Texas just barely won? Maybe he's a better fit for Georgia after all.

Zach Evans was a big part of NS's domination of LT. I think he had about 20 carries for close to 200 yards. But their backup had a 100 yards too. Evans looked bigger and thicker last year. He looked skinny during the game last night. Im not sure if he lost weight or not but he looked different. The biggest reason NS dominated LT was the line play on both sides. NS's offensive line did whatever they wanted with LT's front 7. Same goes for NS's D vs LT's offensive line. Last year, NS's lines did the same thing to Katy, maybe not to the same degree. From watching the game last night, it does not look like NS has even close to the same level of line play on either side of the ball. It will be interesting to watch if they figure it out over the season.
August 30, 20196 yr Katy was better conditioned, better prepared, more motivated, and more concerned with winning the game. North Shore looked like they'd rather be somewhere else. Good win for Katy, but means little. The game that matters is the Region 3 final in December. I'd be shocked if these two teams aren't in that game.

We will call it the de facto Region 3 final instead, as both should coast to winning their districts.

He's a four star top 20 back to me but I'm with you - no clue how he's considered a "generational" talent or #1 recruit. He's played behind really good o-lines on teams with other threats the D had to account for and he performed, but not much different than the other backs on the same teams, just more touches.
August 30, 20196 yr 1 hour ago, Beau Vine said: BTW, Evans had 39 yards on 9 carries last night. Zach Evans half-assing it in a game he really didn't want to play in. He's a perfect fit for Georgia.
