What a conundrum.  On the one hand, you'd like to see the sell-off of Infowars generate some healthy revenue for the plaintiffs.

On the other hand, given the shaggy/surly problem, purchasing any of those assets is far from a guarantee of deplatforming Jones. Thus, I think the assets are of little value. The one exception might be the IP.  There's probably some value in using "Infowars" to trash Jones and his ideas and followers.

I'm not sure, though, that Infowars "subscribers" are as astute as we are regarding finding the new Jones outlet, but I suppose the conspiracy sites might spoon feed them.

To that point, you should listen to an episode of Knowledge Fight or two where they talk specifically about the justice system v jones. Dude has been advertising all the other places and platforms he'll be moving too once he loses infowars. It's mostly been shell corps under his dad so far

Maybe they can buy it and then post a ton of shit pics.

That then would seem to be excellent evidence of Jones' control of those entities, regardless of "title" ownership, thus exposing them to collection remedies.

In any event, I think all/most of Jones' income from those entities will be subject to garnishment or similar remedy regardless of ownership.

Between this and Rudy, the public is going to get something of an education on judgment collection remedies.

I mean, it's misspeak sure because it was Dec 2012 not 2022, but I thought it was a good overview of the legal action that's happened. It's strange how some folks latch on to a single thing as an excuse to stop listening

That basic mistake discredits her. It’s a video. Review it and take 3 minutes to do a second take. They spent a lot of effort on editing and adding graphical enhancements. Get the content accurate.

Call me strange if you will.

Yeah it really is, explains it well without much inaccuracy.

My nutty-ass, MAGA cult cousin posted an Alex Jones video the other day as proof that the government is controlling hurricanes. Dumbest fucking people.

I feel like when people use phrases like "total proof" or "indisputable facts," particularly if they're some media personality type, the government should be able to sue the fuck out of them for misinformation if that shit is wrong.

What I really like is the theory that the government has a weather machine and only really uses it to fuck up Florida every other year.

Fun fact, I skipped around that vido linked for shits and giggles and the fucking actor we've all seen in various shit is on there as an expert talking to Alex about all this shit, and reagan, and using Tesla's old work or some shit. Just talking made up shit about Regan fighting communnists in Hollywood in alley fights and shit. Around 2 hours and 20 minutes.

Well, I'll never enjoy Agent Johnson from Die Hard again, I guess.

Also PSA, I know some of you listen to the Knowledge Fight podcast, recently Alex Jones “interviewed” ChatGPT and it’s fantastic media via Dan and Jordan.

You just need to tell him "if you truly believe that, then why don't you give up, because if the Democrats can do that, you have no fucking chance.  You trying to expose them is just going to get a tornado dropped on your house."

Yeah she dropped her own Star Wars series spun off from The Mandalorian (Rangers of the New Republic) in favor of the far right movie scene. Wildly stupid lol

Lol. I wouldn't say she "dropped" Star Wars like she made a deliberate choice to do such. So deliberately refused to shut her fucking mouth and her employer said, eh, no thanks. Then she sued to get her gig back, becuase that's how Hollywood works. But yes, she's super smart.

Hilariously, I read a story on Dark Horizons this morning that basically said Zach Levi, of Shazam and Chuck fame, is doing the same. He's endorsed Trump and he's pissed Shazam didn't make him as big a star as Chris Evans, so he's moved to a Texas ranch and is going to only make movies in line with his conservative leanings.

Here’s Why I Decided To Buy ‘InfoWars’ - The Onion

Quote

Founded in 1999 on the heels of the Satanic “panic” and growing steadily ever since, InfoWars has distinguished itself as an invaluable tool for brainwashing and controlling the masses. With a shrewd mix of delusional paranoia and dubious anti-aging nutrition hacks, they strive to make life both scarier and longer for everyone, a commendable goal. They are a true unicorn, capable of simultaneously inspiring public support for billionaires and stoking outrage at an inept federal state that can assassinate JFK but can’t even put a man on the Moon.

Through it all, InfoWars has shown an unswerving commitment to manufacturing anger and radicalizing the most vulnerable members of society—values that resonate deeply with all of us at Global Tetrahedron.

No price would be too high for such a cornucopia of malleable assets and minds. And yet, in a stroke of good fortune, a formidable special interest group has outwitted the hapless owner of InfoWars (a forgettable man with an already-forgotten name) and forced him to sell it at a steep bargain: less than one trillion dollars.

Spoiler

Today we celebrate a new addition to the Global Tetrahedron LLC family of brands. And let me say, I really do see it as a family. Much like family members, our brands are abstract nodes of wealth, interchangeable assets for their patriarch to absorb and discard according to the opaque whims of the market. And just like family members, our brands regard one another with mutual suspicion and malice.

All told, the decision to acquire InfoWars was an easy one for the Global Tetrahedron executive board.

Make no mistake: This is a coup for our company and a well-deserved victory for multinational elites the world over.

What’s next for InfoWars remains a live issue. The excess funds initially allocated for the purchase will be reinvested into our philanthropic efforts that include business school scholarships for promising cult leaders, a charity that donates elections to at-risk third world dictators, and a new pro bono program pairing orphans with stable factory jobs at no cost to the factories.

As for the vitamins and supplements, we are halting their sale immediately. Utilitarian logic dictates that if we can extend even one CEO’s life by 10 minutes, diluting these miracle elixirs for public consumption is an unethical waste. Instead, we plan to collect the entire stock of the InfoWars warehouses into a large vat and boil the contents down into a single candy bar–sized omnivitamin that one executive (I will not name names) may eat in order to increase his power and perhaps become immortal.

All will be revealed in due time. For now, let’s enjoy this win and toast to the continued consolidation of power and capital.

You can't deny that this timeline does have a great sense of humor.

That letter brings the lulz.

What a shame.  Take the loss, pussy.

The Satanic Panic was in the 80's, not the 90's and sure as shit not 1999.

This is so great.  The Sandy Hook families bid part of their debt so that The Onion could pull this off.  They got his ass in the end.  I was so afraid his cronies were going to get it and it would be business as usual.  Not so fast, asshole!

If you happen to go to the Onion's Membership page (https://membership.theonion.com/)... and while there, you happen to sign up and pay for it (although why you would do so is quite beyond me), you will get the following response in confirmation:
