That NIL deal is fucking bullshit and makes me sad and angry. Myself and multiple posters on this board have worked extremely hard to follow the NIL laws to the letter of the law and this takes a liquid shit all over those. It’s Fucking exhausting and paints all NIL collectives like our HWH and CFC in such a negative light, it’s simply unfair and needs to be regulated. Total and complete bullshit. This is bag dropping in public which is not in the spirit of NIL laws. Whoever did this deal (pretty sure it’s that Henry kid that got a CB to Tennessee) should go shove a cactus up their buttholes

I thought explicitly offering NIL to recruits was verboten?

It is and this is complete horseshit but what in the fuck could happen to them? What would happen if an inducement actually occurred? Fucking nothing, the NCAA is toothless which makes me even more mad. Burnt ends and horns with heart have gone through more legal steps and spent more time being compliant to the absolute Fucking letter than you could even imagine, level fucking one source on that, and these cock smokes just shit all over it publicly while giving the god damn athletic a public interview BRAGGING about it

Nahlin effectively confirmed it was Iamaleava, for what it's worth. Indicated that losing Nolan was a wake-up call for Tennessee boosters.

Such fucking bullshit. They hired a Cali lawyer as a Tennessee collective so they can pay a HS kid cause it’s legal there. Absolutely unimaginable how dirty and gross this is. This is aggy level shit that they are bragging about publicly basically

Would be nice if our boosters got a wake up call and starting figuring out how to cheat like the rest of our future conference members.

WE. DO. NOT. NEED. TO. CHEAT. No one does, if a booster would like to help benefit the enrolled athletes at UT, my contact info is not hard to find whatsoever. There are a multitude of avenues to help the program legally and completely above board. If someone chooses to cheat instead of one of these avenues, FUCK YOU

That kid has bust written all over him. He’s a twig. He’s a big time recruit but for whatever reason Tennessee in particular is obsessed with him. That thing at the basketball game was lame as hell.

Excuse my ignorance but why wouldn’t all the top high school players transfer to California?

Those laws will be mimicked across the US in due time

A lot of programs like Iamaleava. Tennessee does, however, have uniquely slimy and desperate boosters. Kind of an SECE aggy with actual championships.

Talked to the THSCA president Martin during season and he says they are not actively looking to allow athletes to make money on nil. Texas will be one of the last to allow it.

This will go well above THSCA. Abbott won’t allow the state to fall behind in football

Everything about the ncaa, and the sec, told us this was inevitable.

If Texas opens up to NIL in HS it will be a slugfest for every recruit.

The top recruits will just leave the state if Texas doesn’t. If every state follows suit, it will be the same slug fest it is now.

We’ll, I guess the floor of the 5 Star QB market is set. Who will be the first $10 million college QB?

Arch will be worth that per year by the time he's on campus

Damn who would have imagined that teams with deep pockets and dedicated alumni would find ways around laws and rules to benefit their program. Not saying it will work out for them.

it will be best for the State of Texas legislature to open up NIL for HS students and Imo that will be the only thing that stops these kinds of Aggie things that happened with the 2022 class.

He has bust written all over him because he’s thin as a rising senior?

Dam,  it took quite a few years to create the dot com bubble in the stock market and 20+ years to create what we have now  but one year to create a NIL bubble.

Not sure this amount of money for college players is sustainable.

If you thought the aggy move opened up poaching season in Texas m, well let hs athletes get nil deals and you’ll truly see the mass exodus.

Better get used to it because if our legislature doesn’t look for private national high schools In states that do to come in and pluck top State talent and they go get paid.

Yes, did you see that out of shape Brady kid running at his scout workout? That one will never make it in the NFL.

If this is true it’s smart for this kid to take the money now.  Also he can sign with any school and the Tennessee boosters still have to pay him?   That’s fantastic!  I’m guessing once these groups get burned a few times they will be less likely to do these types of deals going forward.  UT is doing it the right way.

Lots of folks wanted these kids to get paid welp. Y’all got what ya wanted.  We did it guys.  Next on deck.  Top dogs skipping senior year. No dudes who get kicked off thier team forgo senior year.  But NIL skipping working with private trainers.  Who could have ever saw this happening

You make 8 million dollars before college it makes sense to skip college and just train like a professional for three years.
