We should be a damn good team next year. 15 early enrollees is insane. If these coaches can develop, then we may be at the beginning stages of a legitimate championship window

If we could run the ball, we’d be in that weak ass playoff this year.

Put the cup down. Let's get past Ok St before we start talking about championships.

Holy shit you're a terrible poster. This isn't the forum for that stupid shit. This isn't the thread for that stupid shit. And that stupid shit neglects the fact that one of the teams in the playoffs this year lost 63-17 to Oklahoma State last year. Post better or don't post.

Im going with the thought that this is the equivalent of the 1999 foundation, but with better and more sustained results.

If you think his takes on football are bad, just wait until you see his takes on being married to a white chick.

We have absolutely taken OU to the shed this year in recruiting, at one point they led for Hill, Kirkland, Niblett, Vasek, and Akana and now all will likely sign with the good guys. That’s how you recruit against a rival, make them have to go through you for everyone.

Rough math here but they're like 0-49 against us in recruiting this year.

Poor broke ass motherfuckers.  Can't spell broke ass motherfucker without OU.

Moving to the SEC is, I think, a mistake for Oklahoma. They are now closer to being Nebraska then Georgia or Alabama.

Are you changing your position on him since last night?

I was referring to the reality that Ketchum is often the kiss of death when he picks a recruit to Texas, not that I’m worried about Akana. But look, Ketchum acting certain could be jinxing that one in real time. He really is a toxic piece of shit at a universal karmic level.

Hope they miss on Bowen. We effed that one up pretty good.

IT (Gerry/Bobby/Eric) starting to hedge a little on Deandre Moore - might be sticking with Louisville.

Gerry saying the shoe wars are real and there may be Adidas pressure on Moore.  Plays on an adidas sponsored 7on7 team.  Says it happens in basketball all the time and you're seeing it more in football.

It's hard to see how this isn't a permanent thing with our NIL machine. They just don't have the resources that we do.

In other words, fuck ou.

Definitely starting to sound like they got a verbal commitment from Akana.

lol this is my favorite part. We'd heard about him being on the basketball team and even competing to stay for the spring. This isn't what I expected.

"In the midst of all that back-and-forth from the industry, where he is ranked anywhere from the top overall prospect to top 10 overall at the lowest (as of late August), Manning was a reserve for Newman's basketball team. Listed at small forward, Manning would cap his third season on the hardwood with a state championship while averaging just better than a bucket per outing.

Everyone who watched him play says he was just fine with being that role player on the roster, with one onlooker calling him the best cheerleader on the team, even. "

Assuming Sark is serious about only wanting 9-10 WRs on scholarship - it seems a strategy of 2 HS WRs and 1 or 2 portal WRs each season might be prudent?  Maybe some years you take 3 high school WRs and one portal, but in general with all the WR talent available in the portal we should use it.

Yeah I have heard that shit before. Everytime we think OU is going to be shitty they rise again like a trailer park phoenix. I don't believe you.

Alabama also has less deep donor pockets, inferior local/state talent pool, and less compelling campus life/academics than a lot if its SEC competition, yet they’re about to sign the top class in the country. The difference is Alabama has a living legend in charge while OU has open questions about Venables. OU will be fine in the long term as long as they hit on coaching hires, same as it ever was.

But are they the expected or unexpected kind!?

Cormani McClain seems like he's gonna be a pain in the ass for whoever he ends up signing with (taking the most money from)

Mom heard how much Miami was offering Derek Williams and said Cormani's price was going up. Smart business.
