September 7, 20196 yr For too long the national image of the Big XII has been defined by Oklahoma as the most successful program in the conference. Their offense generated points and yards by the ton but their defense was average at best and often terrible. Neither unit impressed with their physicality or toughness. Okie is THE reason the average fan thinks the Big XII is soft. Now it the time for a changing of the guard. We all know that Patterson has played tough D at TCU for many years but they were never nationally prominent for long enough to impinge on the public consciousness. Then Tom Herman and Todd Orlando joined the Big XII. Texas is the program with the national profile to change people's perception of what the conference is all about. Those men have brought toughness on both sides of the ball with a hard nosed OL and QB plus a defense that can fly and HIT. Based on TV and internet talking heads, the mob still thinks Texas is soft. They are wrong. We know that's not true and hasn't been true for 3 years. Let's show them that new reality today in a way that is undeniable. From the first play, let 'em know what they signed up for. Edited September 7, 20196 yr by sushihorn

September 7, 20196 yr I repeat the words my mother said unto me before I headed out for another high school golf tournament.... ”Maim, kill, destroy.”

Every year we see at least a dozen good recruits go to trash programs because they "wanted to play in the SEC" - especially defensive players. Time to let them know that NOBODY plays harder hitting defense than TEXAS. It wouldn't hurt to highlight the fact that LSU is trying desperately to become a knock off of a Big XII offense either.

Which Texas can do regardless of the rest of the Big 12.

September 7, 20196 yr I can't wait to hear the talking heads backtrack on the Texas is soft narrative when their baby gets their asses shoved through their mouths.

The only way you’re going to kill the SEC myth is to kill the SEC. UGA down, LSU on deck.
