September 11, 20196 yr I just learned that the Tom Jones song had a few interesting guys playing on the track. Jimmy Page on guitar. Chris Slade on drums. And the guy later to be known as Elton John on keys Nice lineup.
September 11, 20196 yr Page's work in the 60's, as a session man, was quite incredible. Tom Jones, Them "Baby Please Don't Go"---think about how key the guitar was to that song, Rolling Stones "Heart of Stone", The Yardbirds (as a recording guy, then as a touring member), Joe Cocker "Little Help from my Friends", (jeff) Beck's Bolero, Donovan "Sunshine Superman", pre-Velvet Underground Nico, a few songs with The Who, a few songs with the Kinks, Petula Clark "Downtown", and a bunch of movie soundtracks. What an amazing career with the exception that I can't think of anything decent he's done in the last 20 years, but hey-why can't be all be brothers? Also, if you have the chance to hear John Mulaney's story on Tom Jones, look it up on youtube.
September 12, 20196 yr god that csny clip is great. they're stoned out of their minds and clearly amused at how ridiculous that situation is. stills does not want to be upstaged.

We should all be so lucky to have a spouse who looks at us the way Crosby was looking at Jones.
