ahh somebody's jealous! To paraphrase Ric Flair, Joe's shoes cost more than Anthony's house

If Jeselnik wanted to gravy train with the rest of the Rogan ass lickers he easily could have. He’s actually funny though. He’s also pretty fucking rich without having to wade into the water with a bunch of idiot conspiracy theorists.

That’s a weird take. He never talks shit about Rogan. He only mocks the mob of dipshit JRE bros/cult phenomenon.

ETA: AJ has a HUGE issue with comics crying about cancel culture. It’s so overblown and has become a crutch for hacks to derive material from. A LOT of the Rogan crown see themselves as true 1st Amendment warriors and it’s laughable.

Jeselnik also said comedians should stay out of podcasting and podcasters should stay out of comedy

At the root he's said he's mad because comedian/podcasters were interviewing Trump and JD Vance and were not fucking with them or joking with them enough.

Specifically he's mad at Tim Dillon for cancelling stand up shows to do the JD Vance Podcast, but him and Tim Dillon been having a feud for a while.

On his podcast he said all this, as well as he is maybe quitting his podcast... I guess because comedians should stay out of podcasting?

he also went on rogans podcast

I think he's just a childless atheist that is slowly morphing into Keith Olbermann.

Jeselnik’s  take on whining about cancel culture is perfect.  It’s a crutch used by hack comedians who both aren’t savvy enough to thoughtfully defend their material and think somewhere in the first amendment there is a lost clause granting them freedom from criticism of their lame-ass offensive joke.

His latest special, where he talks about the cancel culture, is also where he makes a bunch of pedo jokes, daring Netflix or whoever to cancel him.

A lot of other comedians whine about it, but in the same standup routines where they are whining about it, they aren't actually saying anything that could get them cancelled.

I never got that either. Your job is to entertain the audience. If they aren't laughing at your jokes you didn't do your job correctly. It isn't their fault that you weren't funny.

The difference is I think the Kill Tony's of the world are trying to offend first and be funny second.  It's insult comic work and it has its place.  Jeselnik is along the lines of Stephen Wright and MItch Hedberg in that they are crafting jokes.  They happen to be on taboo topics, but it's about the setup, the misdirection and the punchline more than it is offending people.

This is an awesome interview. Scott Payne is a hell of a story teller, hopefully this case becomes a movie.

That was excellent. A movie could be incredible.
