August 20, 20241 yr If you like weird, random, and somewhat sacrilegious, I can recommend Mrs. Davis. Just your average nun taking on our AI overlords.

November 16, 20241 yr Part way through a show also called The Diplomat. I’m liking it, it’s enjoyable

December 3, 20241 yr Two veteran chasers didn't realize there was a supercell 5 minutes away from the rodeo they were walking into.
December 3, 20241 yr Ridiculous and stupid...but still somehow way better than I was expecting. Not a bad disposable watch and immediately forget about movie.
January 4Jan 4 Lockerbie with Colin Firth was quite good I thought. 5 episodes, an hour each. Based on the true story about a dad trying to prove the Lockerbie disaster that killed his daughter.

Just finished Episode 5 last night where things started getting a little absurd -- the scene where MI6 busts in on Norman's place in Budapest. The scene goes from light outside to nighttime while Redmayne is escaping through the woods on the horse. Also, did Norman know enough about The Jackal to warrant coming back to kill him and kick off the chase?
February 22Feb 22 Grosse Pointe Garden Club seems like it would be better as Peacock only instead of also broadcast and FCC standards
May 3May 3 Black Bag is streaming on Peacock now. Definitely a great chance to watch one of the best movies of the year.

We got bogged down with kid stuff and were never able to get to the theater, so we watched this night. Loved it. It cooks for 90 minutes and is super fun.
September 4Sep 4 I watched the first 3 episodes of The Paper (Office spinoff). Better than I expected.

September 4Sep 4 I got an email from peacock announcing The Paper from the same people that brought you The Office. I wondered if the storyline was at all related to Ricky Gervais' After Life series (which was set at a local paper), but it doesn't look like it. I'll probably give it a shot either way.
September 4Sep 4 I watched the first three this morning before work. I agree. It wasn't horrible. Is it better than expected because your expectations were so low? If it was viewed as a stand alone show and not a ‘reimagining’ would it still be good?
September 4Sep 4 I had no expectations. If this came out with no attachment to The Office, it'd hold its own, I think. Its not as slapstick-y as The Office.
September 5Sep 5 I watched because Greg Daniels is involved mainly. I probably expected less because it’s on Peacock and not NBC but I had quite a few laughs.
