I didn't know him, but I bet he served me a few.  My thoughts are with his friends and family.

After reading that story I can say I am a Jim LeMond fan and the world is worse off without him. The quote about giving everyone the benefit of the doubt hit me.

Remember him from Cedar Door.  I was there about 70 times 95-97.

RIP

Damn shame.  Didn't know him personally but remember him from Cedar Door.  Too young to go.

If you've spent some time in Austin as you should, you've run across Jim.

He's a veteran bartender. Everybody likes him and gets along with him (unless you're an asshole).

Assholes and asshole bartenders - this ain't your thread.

Man, that's a shame.  I had my first legal drink at the Cedar Door.

RIP Jim.

Damn sorry to hear it. Didn't know him but certainly crossed paths; went to same elementary, jr high and high school 2 years apart. Cedar Door (OG 15th st). Montana Mining Company, wow, hadn't thought of that place in years. RIP.

Too young for Montana Mining Co, but started with Jim when he was at Balboa Cafe on 6th while I was at UT. Found him wherever he landed after that. He was a good man. Could not have a bad time with Jim around.

And he and Linda invented the Mexican martini.
