There are about to be a lot more of 'em.

The Fair Park stadium will feature 26 beer stands during the Texas-OU game on Oct. 12, says Karissa Condoianis, spokeswoman for the State Fair of Texas. That's 25 more than last year.

This pleases me. I will be full of Bloody Mary's and will need a refreshing respite for my palate. And...

OU sucks.

Man if that isn't incontrovertible truth that the one infinite creator acknowledges the suckage of OU was a mistake then I don't know what is....

Nice! I knew I moved my dinner reservation up on Saturday so passing out prior to 7pm will be an option.

Badass - no need to go run out to the fairgrounds at halftime to pound beers.

Although I will say, that wasn't a bad thing during those Mack Brown 63-14 specials. No need to return to watch the 2nd half.

They need to all be on the Texas side.

Figured you'd want some in the Oklahoma side so they wouldn't all be crowding the TX side.

The concertina wire should help with that issue.

I heard that they're gonna be rather lax on peeing in public too, but that may be a rumor. Not sure yet.

Ain’t nothin finer.....

I've been smuggling in a flask of bourbon to this game for 30 years. I'm not changing it up now.

You could always try two flasks of bourbon.  It’s good to continue to expand your repertoire as you get older.

Wasn't that announced already?

Yeah, pretty sure we've known that since before the season started.   Great job as always Brian Davis!

Give it a test & report back once you make bail.

On a side but similar note

i do this shit every year and can never remember.

How much generally are corn dogs and beers in tickets? Seems like I remember 12 for a fletcher dog and 10 for shiner at their tent? Am I in the ball park? Seems like after 25+ years of doing this I’d remember this crap.

6 ticket beer if you know where to go.

The booth whose name is ‘6 Coupon Beer’?

sorry let me rephrase that. Not looking to start the cheapest beer in fair park thread this year for the surley 99%. I don’t care to walk all over and save a dollar or two on fair beer. Just loooking for the general price of a beer for us surley 1% 🙈

If you are only saving a dollar or two then you aren't drinking enough at the fair, but thank you for not going to that tent I appreciate any and all help at keeping that line short.

26 beer stands is nice.  But about 100 would be better.

And two bathrooms.....lovely as always

I miss the ice chests that were hidden behind the food stands over by the Old Mill Inn.

I always go to the German food place for Shiners and brats.

Problem is I never can remember how to get there when I'm sober. Maybe that's not a problem.

Behind the cotton bowl to the left close to the main concert stage

Trying to decide if I should go this year. Have gone 5 of the last 6 years but it's been hot as fucking hell.

I always bring bourbon into the game anyway, but nice to have this as an option once I run out.

Same here.  Now I can mix my bourbon with beer instead of lukewarm RC Cola.

Yea but the tower building is a super shit show at halftime

I am friends with a former OU cheerleader. The first time I met her, I couldn't resist and asked her about the OU tranny cheerleader. She had no idea who or what I was talking about, so I opened up shaggy and showed her pics. She didn't know the girl, but was equally horrified. We (mostly I) laughed, and I still bring her up periodically.

Still quicker than going out to the midway, but there are other 6 coupon options closer to the CB.

She was dating a friend of mine, so no. My wife also would have frowned upon it pretty heavily.
