Given all the below, I think he deserves a thread

a) He's a senior redshirt junior

b) He's probably starting going forward and doing stuff like this

c) He hits like a fucking truck

d) This quote

Shit. I fixed it.

No regrets about starting the thread, though.

His hit in fourth quarter of the LSU game on the running back trying to catch a pass was a thing of beauty. Someone please post the gif.

I want to be in on page 1 of the Chris Brown fan club. He's a top 5 player of the first four weeks. He can play any Safety or LB spot in our scheme at a high level.

Yes. He’s a badass.  Along with Ossai the best player on defense.  Foster about to join him when he sacks Hurts three times.

Awesome to see him balling out, especially after he stuck around for three years without getting much playing time during that span.

The coaches can use him as an example of the benefits for young guys who stay patient and focus on developing when they’re not getting a ton of snaps.

After his play this year, hopefully he decides one year of film isn't enough to better his draft prospects..if ya know what I'm sayin

I love seeing these upperclassmen emerge after being down the depth chart early in their careers. Great story and I am really happy to see him finally getting his chance to shine.

Surly told me if you can’t play as a freshman you can never play.

Live, I was worried it was targeting.

Great you got an INT but he fell down costing us six points. Dude needs to train harder.

What about the ones who can play as a freshman but never again?

Spoiler

worst open first tackler we have and that is saying something

Ceedee Lamb is going to be a first rounder and CB's big issue is that he's really just not that athletic - he maximizes what he's got. That said, he needs to do better.

I am sorry to see him hurt, but I am pretty sure that he hurt himself on another missed tackle, after my post above... my unofficial count puts that at 5 without re-watching the game yet.

how does this work?  did he get into graduate school or can he just sign up for ballroom dancing 301 and play in the fall?

To be fair, he didn't flex after he fell down and let the OU rb score.

Talking shit to a former teammate after an embarrassing defensive showing. Stay classy, Chris.

Shocking. Dude sucks running his mouth as much as he does being on Twitter

Oh I can tell.

And if DKR was still coaching here CB would be cut tomorrow for talking shit to Omenihu like that. Akers would probably send him packing, too.

This also continues to fortify most all fans statements that this joke of team focuses more on social media than the game itself

Yeah posted this in the other thread. This dude is acting like a clown right now

It ain't an act.

he's embarrassing to watch. he's the living, playing embodiment of our 2007 team all doing the Souljah Boy dance while losing to UCF or whoever it was.

Says a lot when you have a bunch of former players calling out a bunch of the current players. A lot of players on this team don't care about "Texas" at all and it shows.

Studdard should come in and tell all players for the last decade to shut the fuck up and quit being fucking pussies.

And if Urban were coaching here he'd get a sternly worded look the other way.

All the insiders swore up and down he was our best DB in fall camp. Shocking they were wrong

Yeah, but we would've won the game.

This flexing shit has to stop now.
Concentration must be put on the DBs doing the emphatic incomplete pass motion even when the DB has no impact on the receiver not catching the ball.  Set priorities now!

Flexing while giving up 15yards and a first down is so stupid. It’s so incredibly stupid I legit thought he didn’t know where the sticks were or it was some sort of internal weirdo motivation technique to pump himself up to do better. I don’t know, anything to give the benefit of the doubt to the player in a high stakes, high emotion rivalry game, because there’s no way anyone could be that dumb.

But surely after the game he has to realize how incredibly stupid it is, tuck tail, and hope it just blows over.
Nope, he’s doubling down on the stupid and clapping back at a guy who plays on Sunday. Amazing.

Chris Brown sucks. He makes the occasional hard hit, but other than that he's ass. He should never be starting at Texas.

With him starting it shows how desperate Herman was

Yeah, this was embarrassing to watch.

"The ideal of sportsmanship began to take a backseat to excessive celebration. The athletes caring less about executing the play than planning the vulgar grandstanding that inevitably followed even the most pedestrian of accomplishments."

Remember when the 2007 team was the worst one we had for the entire decade? They finished 10-3.
