Terrible play call. Brown cannot get away from side to side football.

I would have kicked but I cannot fault him for being aggressive. I wouldn't have had that kind of confidence in my offense after what they had done today.

Terrible play call on the 2-point conversion. If that’s your play call, then just play for overtime.

Kicked his own team in the balls. Played so well and you call a play with no chance that wipes out the entire game and any chance of winning

Mack conceded the win before it was over.

Really dumb play call. Ok to go for 2. Looked like they were running good up the middle and thought a middle run would have been better.

Too bad from a Texas perspective. We need everyone to get losses.

Lawrence shouldn't be in the heisman conversation either

Come on, Mack. That was your play call against one of the most talented defenses in CFB? I loved the decision to go for two to avoid OT and put the game away, but that option call was hilariously bad.

He and Dabo are good friends

Has nobody told mack that Vince Young isn't his QB? What the fuck was that did you think your tubby freshman QB was going to beat clemson to the corner.

It seems that things may catch up with Clemson later this season.  No one is invincible this year.

Texas would beat Clemson. Fight me.

Gagree. Bama and Ohio State both have played better than they have.

One does not just breeze through the accaccacc

Typical Mack - go away from what has worked in the most pivotal moment of the game. Some wacky WR motion option into the teeth of a Clemson D that can fly to the ball, to the short side of the field? Woof.

Hell of a job by UNC and props to Mack for breathing life back into that program, but Clemson is not who we thought they were. Loss to Appalachian State then play Clemson tight? Eek.

The team that just won that game? Yes. The team that beat... well, shit. Clemson's best win was probably over aggy. And that was a fucking shitshow all around. So if Texas happens to meet this Clemson team at some point this season, yeah probably.

Have you seen their schedule? It's a damn joke. The toughest remaining games are 4-0 Wake Forest and 3-1 BC/NC St (They lost to WVU).

I don't give a shit about that kind of stuff unless we beat Oklahoma in 2 weeks. Then i start rooting for chaos with other teams.

WTF are you thinking? tie the fucking game and go OT.

The DL losses and the loss of Hunter Renfrow are going to hurt Clemson.  Lawrence is just a soph and the way he played today and against aggy, he would not be the best QB in the Big 12.

💯 disagree. Take your shot and go for two. You’re the underdogs with a much worse roster.

Clap clap clap

No you're not. Texas controls its own destiny. Win out and you're in without a doubt.

Exactly, 11-1 Texas with two wins over OU gets a spot in the CFP no matter what.

Why the fuck did he let Longo call that gay ass speed option against a fast defense

Same.  On the other hand, I don't know that I would have had confidence their offense could move it 25 yards in OT.

I would have kicked it. you are at home.  the D is playing reasonably well.  try to win it in OT.

or he  just wants to make Clemson take another timeout
this isn't getting enough love

Mack is gonna end up with a shitton of Lock n Lock, Temptations, Rastelli's Meats, Cheryl's Cookies, Mrs Prindable's Apples, and Corky's BBQ.

Venable loves Mack.

Only gripe was play choice, unless the option guy is gonna throw then that play is doomed. Alerting the lightning fast d to where the play is going with motion was certainly a genius move.

He is thinking what every other coach in his situation would do.

Clemson has superior players at every position. The longer it drags out the better chance for Clemson.

He made the right call.

I'm just surprised it wasn't a bubble screen.

It was such a predictable Mack call. Running sideways is always horrible at the goal line, especially against defenses like that. I hated when we would do the pitchy to the running back on 4th down. Shit never worked. I think there is some feeling of safety with the play because you don't have to complete a pass. But it never frickin works.

i agree wit going for two if you have a play you are confident will work in that situation. Honestly every team should work in that one play in that situation that they pull out for the one time you really need it. This was definitely the spot for it. The fact that he called that specific play tells me he does not have that one play that he can call. Thus he should not have gone for it.

They better hope they don't have to play tOSU or else they're in deep shit. Actually, I hope they do so we can finally get to watch an execution live.
