September 30, 20196 yr Well, since CFB is essentially over for me before the end of September, I can focus my limited attention on baseball. Sure would seem like we are headed for a Astros v Dodgers reprise WS, but baseball is baseball, so who knows? Frankly, really kinda hoping someone in the AL can knock them out, as they are clearly the biggest obstacle to claiming our first World Series title in 31 years.
September 30, 20196 yr Are they seriously going to wait until after the WC games to announce game times? I have to start planning when I'm going to ditch work now!
September 30, 20196 yr Last year they announced game times on Tuesday before the WC games so we should know tomorrow sir!

October 1, 20196 yr Why is TBS such a bitch about start times? If Milwaukee wins the WC game then the Thursday @Dodgers starts an hour later and Friday is 10 minutes later? Edited October 1, 20196 yr by clapclapclap

October 1, 20196 yr Lots of love yesterday on MLB network for the Nationals to win it all. Most think Minnie takes out the Yankees.

Thome is out of his mind. I like Scherzer against anyone in a one and done playoff, but then beating the Dodgers? Not likely.
October 1, 20196 yr Lots of love yesterday on MLB network for the Nationals to win it all. Most think Minnie takes out the Yankees.Lolwut? I’ve seen no one pick the Nats to win it all. Out of 9 Mlb.com experts, 8 picked the Astros to win the WS. 6 picked the Yankees to beat the Twins. https://www.mlb.com/news/mlb-com-experts-make-2019-postseason-predictions
October 1, 20196 yr Twins have a scary lineup. That doesn’t change the fact that they’ve been the Yankees’ bottom bitch in the playoffs every time they’ve met. Yanks in 4. Yankees in 7 over the Astros in the ALCS, then Yankees in 6 over the Dodgers for title 28.
October 1, 20196 yr Yeah really only Thome seemed to be the main Twins supporter and uhhh he played there. Most of the ex players didn't have LAD getting to the WS though, which I tend to agree with. I think ATL or St Louis takes them out.

October 2, 20196 yr Even if LA sweeps the Nats, this has been a special season. Really fun to watch the turnaround after 50 games.

Not with that staff. Fortunately 2 of their 3 aces are righties, and we are stronger from the left side. But if Corbin wins game one, watch out. Edited October 2, 20196 yr by Sbbruin
October 3, 20196 yr Maybe I missed something, but I can't find a year since 2009 that the division series went straight chalk. Having said that... I have trouble seeing Tampa even win a game against JV, Cole, Grienke. WAS is not going to beat the Dodgers. Helobius isn't right often, but his "Twins are the Yankees' bottom bitch" is pretty accurate. That leaves STL-ATL? Works for me.
October 3, 20196 yr Your game 1 starter for the Dodgers. Kershaw, one of the greatest pitchers of this generation? Nope. Ryu, a strong NLCY candidate? Nope. Buehler? Buehler? Yep. Roberts has lost his fucking mind.
October 3, 20196 yr That certainly not the safe pick...He must have good numbers against the cardinals/ that style of lineup

October 3, 20196 yr Its not like Buehler is a bum. And it is not like Kershaw has been "generational" in the post season...
October 3, 20196 yr CC not on the roster. Too bad his last appearance wasn't the bad ass "that was for you bitch" moment last year.
October 3, 20196 yr dodgers over nats in 5 braves over cardinals in 5 astros over rays in 4 yankees over twins in 4 dodgers over braves in 6 astros over yankees in 6 astros over dodgers in 6

October 3, 20196 yr Poor dodgers are only -175 with Burhler tonight. Not that the odds mean anything.

What is the thinking @Sbbruin I would have really thought Ryu would go in game 2 as he is MUCH better at home. But Ferris Bueller was rock solid last night, so good call by Robert on that one.
October 4, 20196 yr D-Roberts is the leader in the clubhouse as far as managerial decisions go thus far. That also feels very odd to type.... Edited October 4, 20196 yr by Pimphand
October 5, 20196 yr What is the collective bullpen ERA so far in the playoffs, WCG included?Gotta be pretty awful

October 9, 20196 yr I don’t see how anyone can be watching the playoffs and not see that the Yankees are the best team. They fucking annihilated a 100 game winner.
October 9, 20196 yr You really are a complete dipshit. On one hand you swear sweeping the Twins is inevitable because they piss down their legs at the sight of your front running adopted team then you come around crowning yourself as being the best team in baseball for doing the inevitable. You can't have it both ways numbnuts.
October 9, 20196 yr I guess a short bus commuter like yourself sees it that way. The Yankees will inevitably win the World Series this year, because they have demonstrated that they are the best team. Will winning it all then not be impressive, because it was inevitable? It can be both.
October 9, 20196 yr If the nationals score early, you will be able to hear a pin drop in that ball park. They’re waiting for something like this to happen. I’m not as worried about that happening in Houston (especially not with Cole on the mound), but tomorrow should be interesting.

You’re applying the results of a short series as evidence of their superiority, taking no other factors into consideration. It renders all of your opinions irrelevant.
