September 30, 20196 yr that if recent years' trends continues, will be discounted by about 70% within the next few weeks. However, I'm worried about inventory. Last year by the time it dropped and I went to purchase, it was long gone, online and in stores. The item is Seasonal and thus is not covered by their Price Adjustment policy. What's my play here if any?
September 30, 20196 yr pumpkin spiced fleshlight? you should probably be a little more vague about it. That's my advice.
September 30, 20196 yr Author Not being intentionally vague but now I'm going to start. This could be fun. If you post good advice I'll PM you 3 clues.
September 30, 20196 yr Go to store and rip open/dent a bunch of the boxes to ensure they won't be purchased at full price.
September 30, 20196 yr if big box = best buy, I have some coupons that I could part with for a reasonable price.

October 1, 20196 yr If it’s Costco, walk back in with your receipt when they drop the price and they’ll refund the difference. Source - I bought a tv there in late October and the guy told me to do that after Thanksgiving. I guess you mentioned cost adjustment policy, which is maybe that. I refer you to scene one of the movie “Old School”.

October 1, 20196 yr As others have mentioned, if it’s most box stores, buy today and take your receipt in when price drops. Do you need it now? Since it’s seasonal can you leave it in the box? If price drops and they won’t take your receipt, take it back and rebuy it (my wife has been know to do this).

October 2, 20196 yr I don't understand all this over buying a big box. The grocery store has tons of them for free on delivery day.

October 2, 20196 yr Being a customer is a sucker move. You want to open your own Big Box Store. Then you can have this item at wholesale.
October 3, 20196 yr brickseek probably has an alert feature so that when walmarts near you put grokers on sale for 70% off you get an email

Most retailers have horribly inaccurate online inventory systems , especially walmart, which is what Brickseek queries. Expect Brickseek to report 25 grokers for 70% off at your nearest walmart when they haven't had one in-store for 6 months.
October 3, 20196 yr Huh. I've had good luck, i.e., never been screwed over by the system, at Wal-Mart. Bought a 49" 4K TV that way a couple years back for $149. Prolly the only time I've checked their warehouse like that so I guess I just got lucky.
