Long shot here, but does anyone have any advice or tips on handicap parking at the State Fair for RRS? I've gone to the game every year for over a decade with my Dad, and he was diagnosed with cancer about a year ago. He's been doing chemo and trucking along, but he's definitely lost a lot of weight and just doesn't have as much energy as he used to. He got a handicap placard recently and the thought of having to park blocks away from the fair grounds and then walking all that way, not to mention all the time spent walking through the fair grounds, has him worried.

Does anyone have any experience or advice with this? Thanks.

No direct knowledge of that event, but, drop him off at the door, go park, walk back and meet him?

Done it a few times with relatives. My general experience with handicap parking at events is be prepared for the longest exit traffic jam in history.

If Gov Wheels is gonna be there you should just carpool. Imagine his spot is pretty choice.

Go to valet parking.  We do it every year and it's a snap.

I think that if you have a hangtag, they'll just wave you over to the handicap spots.  No charge for valet.

The closest in my experience is the parking lot just inside the gate behind the locomotive museum display. Get there a few minutes before opening time.
