We have speed guys but we’re more of a grind-it-out team at the moment. We lack high-level offensive skill, guys that can create and drive play. We don’t have a MacKinnon, Kucherov, McDavid or Matthews. Our “top” offensive guys are Benn (NHL power forwards break down earlier it seems) and Seguin, who is clearly hurt but has never been the go-to guy on a Cup-caliber team. Pavelski has finally put it together for us in the playoffs but he’s never been a guy that drives play. Our best players are defensemen (Miro, Klinger and Lindell — normally) and a top-flight goalie in Bishop, which is a little crazy considering how poor we were defensively when Ruff was here.

or a Brayden Point...

I don't even know what to say. Just so fucking disappointing. Yeah it sucks for us but I can't imagine how the players must feel.

Just... wow.

Did you see Benn’s face? That wasn’t disappointment, that was the look of pissed off. They might come out and win tonight out of anger.

Exactly. The really scary thing is that they’re this explosive WITHOUT Stamkos.

Glad to see this douchebag is catching hell. This is his first NHL championship game. Seems every fan from overt team says this guys sucks and is a real asshole. That coming from a guy who officiated with him. Nice faux hawk dipshit

Hintz out tonight.  Fantastic.  So fitting we lost another player to a hit where 2 penalties should have been called and refs swallowed their whistle.

It was a great run. Nothing to be ashamed of.

Wonder if we keep Bowness around or if there's a search going on behind the scenes?

The job is his if he wants it. They've pretty much come out and said it.

That's why we got him

That was a play made by a guy who once scored 50 goals in a season. That was slick!

I was convinced we were going to let one in in the last minute of the period again. Khudobin just got the smallest piece of that Kucherov shot.

hard to switch from the Horns game to this one so quickly. Love having the lead in the first intermission.

I am now self-medicating with some cold beer possibly made from the tears of Texas Tech alum Michael Peticolas.

Also, they've had some amazingly lucky bounces with the puck.

got to get them at the net to get lucky. We’ve passed on too many chances to throw one on net this series.

I just don’t understand how Tampa can commit the numbers they do to the puck on defense and they never seem to get beat.
always seem to be 3 forechecking but Dallas can never catch them 3-2.  Early in this pp they had 2 on klinger at the point, meaning 4-2 elsewhere and not only do they not pay for that, they generate their own odd man rush short handed.

It was a fun ride. This just isn't our series. Pucks not finding the net, too loose in our zone, refs calling ticky tack games.

But, still, a few things bounce differently and it's 2-2 and we're playing to be up going into Monday. Such is sports sometimes.
