bad

You keep using that word.  I do not think it means what you think it means.

The Big Lebowski and The Princess Bride are not just wildly overrated, but they are actually bad movies.

Based on what criteria?

There should be a Yelp app for drivers that’s tied to license renewal. If you drive like an asshole and get bad ratings, the DMV charges you something ridiculous like $2k to renew. Drivers with excellent ratings get free renewal as incentive.

Inconceivable!

You've been doing it wrong, then.

Crawfish are by far the most overrated food

Followed closely by sushi...

Welp, two posts that definitely belong in this thread. Well done.

Sushi is fine. Crawfish though, way too much work for a minimal payoff. Throw on the mess factor and the ridiculous price for that minimal payoff. To get full on the typical restaurant size crawfish without any sausage/corn/taters would require at least 4 lbs at $10/lb.

Most folks who do it right don't eat crawfish in a restaurant.

If they were dull and boring, no one would go.

I like crawfish, but agree they are a lot of work for what you get. Especially if you're the one running the show for a large group. I prefer it these days when we do the boil at my in-laws and I just help out.

Agreed, and it's the same with Lobster.  Too much work and money for little food.

Crawfish is good.  Crawfish boils are not about efficiently eating large quantities of food.

This.

No messing around with pricey restaurant crawfish. And I ain’t in books for the show. I’m there to eat. And I can damned well eat my fill. If y’all can’t, you suck at peeling.

I like dishes with crawfish tails.  I can never get the crawfish "suck" right for boils and when I do the payoff isn't worth it, imo.

Folks go to restaurants so the don't have to do anything.  It's about the labor, not the taste or value.

Food-specific and El Paso, Texas-specific.

I never warmed up to Chico's Tacos.

The people I knew there couldn't wait for me to try it when I was out there. Wow, they were terrible. That was an unpopular opinion.

: from Yelp.

Didn't know Jade worked in El Paso

Maybe.

it’s been my experience that most folks in these here parts have at least one hardcore coonass neighbor who will do multiple crawfish boils a year.

He makes the bugs, everyone else brings the booze and sides.

I kinda wish Pancho's would make a comeback.

If that's unpopular then fuck the popular.

Yeah I like peeing out of my asshole too

I’ve tried but... Sturgill Simpson is not country at least not my kind of country.

The Devil’s fiddle solo was far more impressive than Johnny’s and by my account Johnny owes him both the golden fiddle and his soul.

I don't think that's an unpopular opinion.

Bruce Springstein is horrible and sings like he is constipated.  And Born in the USA may be the worst hit song ever fucking played.

All the Pixar movies are bad. They are kids movies that should have no appeal to a reasonable adult.

Agreed. Springsteen blows.

Terrible opinion. Just terrible.

Mother’s Day should not be for wives. Husbands shouldn’t have to get a gift for their wife even if they are mother to their kids.

Same goes for Fathers Day.

I think everyone secretly agrees with this

No kidding.  I have no kids yet, but when I do, I would gladly give up any Father's day nonsense to have no Mother's day nonsense

Unpopular opinion is not unpopular. Back to you in the studio, Jim.

I think the more obvious one is Valentine's Day. Why the hell is it a thing? They don't even try and hide it with the marketing anymore that it's 100% a made up holiday for women.

I don't mind Mother's Day or Father's Day. That shit ain't easy and one day a year of recognition seems alright to me.

ice cream is horribly overrated.   can't remember the last time i bought some just to have it in the house.  dessert generally is pretty much useless.

Anything besides your birthday is pretty much made up.

Yeah but nobody actually cares about your birthday.

I thought the same until I quit drinking. Now I celebrate ice cream and all other desert foods.

I can’t stand Kevin Durant.
