Great sci fi is poignant in ANY era.

Saw the trailer for that the other day and thought it looked pretty good. Loved the book so looking forward to this.

One of my favorite books. The movie they made way back in the day suuuuuccccked. This looks very cool.

One of my favorite books, but the book is about how much TV destroys us...so we make a TV movie about it?

Sounds about right.

I have yet to see a theatrical treatment of this story that does the book justice. I'll watch it, but with tempered expectations.

This book has always been at the top of my re-read list.  Such a good read.

This.

Very tempered expectations but hopeful

Loved the book, hated the 70s adaptation. Hopefully this doesn't suck. I love me some Michael Shannon though.

I feel like this would be better if it was set in the 50's version of dystopia instead of our modern version of it. Maybe more of a Hunger Games feel and less of a Minority Report feel. But I'll probably watch it still.

I caught the last half of this last night. I really didn't care for it.

Yep, I went ahead and watched the whole thing but major disappoint.

I fell asleep and missed the last 20 minutes.  Some stories are better left in their original form - this was one.

Movie was bad.  I should have thrown in the towel when I fell asleep watching Saturday night, but I went back for it to finish me off Sunday afternoon.

I only finished it because I couldn’t finish the Rockets 3rd quarter last night. Tough call as to which was the bigger abortion.

Since SV and Barry are done, the only thing I have to watch is Westworld so was really hoping this would be good. Hard pass based on comments and I’m not a big fan of MBJ anyways

Just finished the movie. It seems the story was dumbed down for entertainment purposes which was what Bradbury was criticising in the book. WTF?

Like said earlier I had tempered expectations. Michael Shannon always knocks it out of the park. But, Michael B. Jordan cancels that out. He is not a good actor. I liked the British film better.
