Dartmouth beating the beejezus out of Columbia late in the 3rd, 52-17 on a rainy night in Hanover.

That might be the worst FG attempt in FG history.

I think I'll check out a little Big Red v Bears this afternoon.  They both suck, but it doesn't interfere too much with real football

I didn't realize that Cornell's HC is still the youngest in D1.  He was conceived during spring semester of my freshman year.  He's very young and I'm getting old

I'm going to the Harvard v. Princeton game this afternoon.  Should be great weather for a game.

So, the Harvard QB throws 3 interceptions, including the final drive.  Princeton wins 30-24.

At least I didn't go to a funeral today.

Princeton / Cornell on The U, 0-0 2nd qtr.  Was recently at the Cornell campus last month, beautiful area around there and Ithaca as well.

Depends on what month.  December thru March is depressing.

Been up in this area 8 yrs and have yet run into problems dealing with winter, shorter daylight but that's just me.  I know some people really struggle with it.  As far as Ithaca, great little Farmers Market setup by the lake there, we happen to be there during Apple Fest so the place was hopping, Watkins Glen was a neat place.  The park there is really nice with nice trails and scenery.

Noted.  Ever been to Corning?  Wife wants to visit, Jr and DIL had no interest in going there while we were down that way.

I was in Ithaca in the summer and they now have nets over the gorge bridges.

It's incredibly hard to recruit to a school where the field is 100 blocks north of campus, the shuttle is snail-y, the subway costs valuable beer money, and half the campus would be thrilled if the athletic department vanished tomorrow.

There's a good reason we've only won half an Ivy title (and one Rose Bowl!) in all our years of football.

I have a friend who played LB for Columbia 10 years ago so I now pay attention to them and the rest of the Ivy.

It is amazing how a team can be so bad, like Cornell, and the coach doesnt lose his job. Same with the other sports.

Yes, I understand, the Ivy considers sports as a PE course and could not care less.

What other league uses the term “student athlete” more meaningfully?

None of the online sportsbooks had the Yale (-9) Columbia game, or I would've jumped all over that easy money. Oh well, at least we beat them last year.

Fuck yeah Dartmouth qb with a Houdini escape to throw a Hail Mary to win the game. Big green.
