October 29, 20196 yr This competition deserves a thread of its own. It is clearly the most sacred and beloved of all English trophies. Liverpool has won this trophy the most times in history with 8, but Manchester City is hot on their heels with their 6th victory coming last season. I don't think it's overstating things to say that both clubs would gladly forfeit their league and Champions League seasons for a guaranteed EFL Cup title. Today and tomorrow's matches: Burton Albion vs. Leicester City - All good and right-thinking fans are obviously pulling for Burton Albion. Crawley Town vs. Colchester United - The battle of Goliaths as they are drawn together here in the 4th round. I think it's awesome there will definitely be a League 2 club in the quarters. Everton vs. Watford - Cheer for Watford I guess. Don't really care, so have at it. Manchester City vs. Southampton - THIS IS OBVIOUS YOU KNOBS CHEER FOR CITY THEY ARE THE GREATEST Oxford United vs. Sunderland - League 1 battle. Cool. Go for Sunderland, because they used to have Claudio Reyna or something. Liverpool vs. Arsenal - Great matchup here. I hope the best team wins. Or Arsenal. Either way. Aston Villa vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers - Can't decide. I'll go with AV here because they're cool. Cheslea vs. Manchester United - Unlike City, Liverpool, and Arsenal, Chelsea is fortunate to have avoided a top tier opponent in this round. They should take advantage. When is everyone leaving work to go watch today's matches? Where's the biggest watch party? I know the bigger matches are tomorrow but you guys can't seriously expect me to believe you're not amped about Crawley Town vs. Colchester United. THREEPEAT!!! LET'S DO THIS CITY!!!
October 29, 20196 yr I know what you're doing. You're trying to trick me into giving something away. It won't work.
October 29, 20196 yr It should be a good opportunity for Chelsea to play some of our youth. I'm looking forward to seeing what some of our younger guys can do.
October 29, 20196 yr Halftime and shocking results city 2-0 hampton burton 0-2 lester bones' dad team 0-0 whatfor Oxford 1-0 sunland Crawl 1-1 colch
October 29, 20196 yr Author City up 3-1 now. I like our chances, but Soton pulled one back after being down 3-0. I AM ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT.
October 29, 20196 yr Author Colchester United just extended their lead to 3-1 in the 79th minute. Not looking good for the most popular Red Devils football club on Surly. Crawley Town, obv.

October 29, 20196 yr bones dad's team vs one of the yellow premiere league teams whose names starts with W is fun. Edited October 29, 20196 yr by MoJames
October 29, 20196 yr Author Leicester City players are a bunch of jerks and extended their lead to 3-1 instead of letting Burton Albion tie it up. Edited October 29, 20196 yr by Huckleberry
October 29, 20196 yr we didn't embarrass ourselves! we didn't embarrass ourselves! we didn't embarrass ourselves! we didn't embarrass ourselves! (repeat)
October 30, 20196 yr Alright for the less appealing matchups today. Chelsea is starting these two youth players today. 18 year old Gilmour 19 year old Guehi So LHF's cheeky comment has come true
October 30, 20196 yr Looks like Man U are actually trying to win this one. I guess it's the only chance they have at a trophy this season, so they may as well go for it.
October 30, 20196 yr Author 26 minutes into the match, Arsenal has already scored three goals in their match against the Liverpudlians. Only two were into Liverpool's net, though. 2-1 Gunners
October 30, 20196 yr Martinelli is just unreal. 7 appearances (4 starts) and now 7 goals for Arsenal. If only our actual first team played like our rotated squads do.
October 30, 20196 yr Arsenal gets away with a handball in the box, 30 seconds later Pool gets away with a dive in the box. Really great stuff from the officials here.
October 30, 20196 yr Author The Liverpool/Arsenal match shows you how much the glory of this trophy means to these clubs. Just amazing fervor out there. A 3-2 scoreline at the half and you can't wait for the second half to begin. Riveting.
October 30, 20196 yr Pretty sure Alonso did that on purpose so that we can get out of this tournament.

October 30, 20196 yr Meanwhile in the Chelsea vs Red Guys game, Chelsea's striker just blocked Red Guys's CB from scoring a goal.
October 30, 20196 yr Author 14 minutes without a goal in Liverpool. Booooooooring. Still 5-4 Arsenal in the 84th minute. Longest stretch of the game without one.
October 30, 20196 yr Chelsea purposefully missing open shots so that we can get out of this tournament.
October 30, 20196 yr Author Time for the gut-wrenching agony of a penalty shootout in Liverpool. I can't imagine the nerves when the entire season rests on the outcome of such a seemingly random exercise. Win the shootout and the dream survives. Lose and it's a crushing blow to the entire club's psyche as they then have to settle for the second-rate scraps of a league title, continental crown, and/or FA Cup championship.
