The tiny curated selection on Apple TV is so much better than the 50,000,000 shitty products on Netflix. Anytime I try to find anything to watch on Netflix, I just end up browsing for 15 minutes and g

I’m liking Bad Monkey through first 2.

Wife and I watched the first episode tonight. Enjoyed it.

Wolfs was on par with Instigators for me. Worth watching but glad I didn’t have to pay.

Dear diary, please put Scarlett Johansson in sweaters that make her tits look like a PlayStation 1 Tomb Raider game.

This was the best season of Slow Horses and it's Apple's best show by far imo.

Watched Wolfs and probably the most surprising thing about it was that Clooney and Pitt didn't fuck at the end. It's one of those cute little romance films where the 2 main characters pretend to not like each other.

The latest season of Acapulco is another show that's really bad.

The only other two shows in my queue right now are S2 of Tehran and Blitz. Other shows I will check out are Criminal Record, Bad Monkey, Afterparty, Presumed Innocent.

Bad monkey and after party are both frothy fun shows.

Fly Me to the Moon.   It was ok, probably 30 minutes too long.   Some decent chuckles

Worth a bump.  This is a great series.

Have really enjoyed Shrinking

This is on my 2025 watch list. Wife mentioned it but we need more time given how many seasons it is.

You will burn through it very fast. And there are only six one-hour episodes per season. It's truly excellent.

I guess I'll add it to the list after I finish re-watching Stranger Things.

Is there a second book I don't know about?

I haven't read it but Yancy's in the Razor Girl book.

Yeah same, I've read all of his stuff, but they've kinda blended together.  I know Skink was in multiple books, but other than that, I didn't think the characters carried over from book to book.

Bad Monkey is great. Vince really shines in it.

Wife and I finished Silo season 1.  We're in. Esp since they announced 3 and 4 seasons approved to give it a proper finish.

Common is a horrible horrible "actor" but that's prob been said a ton

Coming in Feb

I’m rewatching Blackbird. It’s one of the best things ever put on TV. I put it up there with True Detective Season One. It’s just six episodes so an easy watch. The premise is WILD and it’s a true story.

Must watch if you’ve never seen it.

Nice, had never heard of it, just added it to the list.

45 minutes in for The Gorge.

It was gettin good, but its gettin late.

I like both the leads but zero chemistry.

The first half of the Gorge was good.  Once they started revealing what was going on, it kind of went downhill plot-wise.  I did enjoy it though.

Watched it on plane trip yesterday. It was terrible but I couldn’t turn it off.
ATJ is gorgeous but needs to eat a sammich.

Good 1st half, laughable 2nd half.

ATJ just keeps looking weirder the older she gets.  Her eyes are too far apart or too big, it's creepy.

She looks like a completely different person than she did in Split.

Also, the 6 part Vietnam doc was very well done.

Watched The Gorge and thought it was mediocre at best. It felt like a cheap Netflix movie of the week and a notch below what I normally expect from Apple+.

I liked Miles Teller in Top Gun and The Offer but his acting felt very flat in this, like he wasn’t sure he wanted to be in the movie or not. The supposed chemistry between him and ATJ was nonexistent.

I wasn’t expecting much from the plot, just a popcorn action flick, but it somehow fell short of that.

If they did it right, it could springboard to an interesting universe.

Parts of it felt like a video game. More of it felt like an opportunity to check Reddit or to pee

Thought the very same thing. It was like a mediocre video game plot. Some hack writer who's been playing Elden Ring and Resident Evil a lot.

Anybody got an opinion on Prime Target? I’ve never heard of it but the trailer is interesting and we’re looking for a new series.

Only watched the first ep or 2. Not much going on yet.

I've been enjoying it.  It has some action, but if you're just looking for an action series, this isn't it.  I found the plot premise interesting and want to see how it plays out.

We are a few episodes in. It’s fine. Something to bridge the gap between episodes of Severance and other stuff we want to watch.

Currently letting a few fill the queue.

It’s ok.  It’s hard to do high level math correctly and this show fails.  “It’s prime numbers! And there is a pattern! See?!?”
