November 1, 20196 yr Holy shit holy shit holy shitAny time I’ve heard the “band you wish you saw live” question Rage was always first on my list I wonder if the audience today can react the way they once did, though. Can’t wait to find out

November 1, 20196 yr The Killing Christmas story and subsequent concert is one of my all time favorites
November 1, 20196 yr Fuck you, I'll sell out if you pay me! Edited November 1, 20196 yr by Surly Bevo
November 1, 20196 yr this is fantastic news. I wonder, since there is rumored to be more dates added, if there is a possibility of them headlining ACL. That would be fucking amazing. I think I'm still going to have to catch the show in El Paso just to be sure.
November 1, 20196 yr Author I’m of half a mind to fly out for the El Paso show just because I’m afraid it could be the only one.
November 1, 20196 yr Author I wonder if Zack is still a full bore commie now that he's old. Also, in. No CR but full bore commie is pretty popular right now with the kids.

November 1, 20196 yr I've already purchased tickets to Welcome to Rockville at Daytona Beach for May. Only band they've announced is Metallica (two nights). Really hoping Rage is there too.

Can’t wait to find out Saw em at a Free Tibet concert in the astrodome back in the day. They turned the field into a mosh pit and it was borderline terrifying. I have seen better bands live, but none that had such a crazy feedback loop going with the crowd. I am sure their 2020 message to people in El Paso is going to be quite the show. Wear a vest. Edit: Different concert, but similar Edited November 1, 20196 yr by Goredho
November 1, 20196 yr Hmmm...Saw them twice. Once they got blown off the stage by the roots. The other was really good. Not sure what to think.
November 1, 20196 yr RATM at the Sun Bowl would be pretty interesting. I wonder what the people of the sun bowl would think.

November 2, 20196 yr Always thought these were powerful lyrics Tha sun ablaze as Maria's foot Touches tha surface of sand On northern land As human contraband Some rico from Jalisco Passed her name to tha boss She stuffed ten to a truckbed She clutches her cross Here comes tha exhaust And it rips through her lungs She's off fast to tha pasture Like cattle she'll cross Degree 106 Sweat and vomit are thrown And she prays and suffocates Upon tha memories of home Of Yanqui guns for blood debts on tha loans Of smoldering fields rape rubble and bones Of graves hidden trapped up in visions of war Of nothing no one nobody no more These are her mountains and skies and She radiates Through history's rivers of blood She regenerates And like tha sun disappears only to reappear She's eternally here Her time is near Never conquered but here To tear away at tha mask And now she got a quota Tha needle and thread crucifixion Sold and shipped across tha new line of Mason Dixon Rippin' through denim Tha point an inch from her vein Tha foreman approach His steps now pound in her brain His presence it terrifies And eclipses her days No minutes to rest No moment to pray And with a whisper He whips her Her soul chained to his will "My job is to kill if you forget to take your pill" Her arms jerks Tha sisters gather round her and scream As if in a dream Eyes on tha crimson stream Numb as her wrists spit shots of blood to tha floor I am nothing, no one, nobody, no more These are her mountains and skies and she radiates And through history's rivers of blood she regenerates And like tha sun disappears only to reappear Maria she's eternally here Her time is near Never conquered but here To tear away at tha mask To tear away at tha mask To tear away at tha mask No minutes to rest No moment to pray No minutes to rest No moment to pray No minutes to rest It eclipses her day Just a moment to pray ugh! To tear away at tha mask Away at tha mask To tear away at tha mask To tear away at tha mask
November 2, 20196 yr I saw them in '07 at Alpine Valley with QOTSA. Craziest day of my life. If you're considering this, fucking do it.
November 2, 20196 yr Author I've already purchased tickets to Welcome to Rockville at Daytona Beach for May. Only band they've announced is Metallica (two nights). Really hoping Rage is there too.I can’t imagine they’ll upstage Metallica like that

November 2, 20196 yr Holy crap that would be my dream lineup Yeah, it’s as awesome as it sounds. It was August, and 95 degrees. A massive thunderstorm blows through about an hour before Queens hit the stage, and it rains so hard that not only do the parking lots become a mud hole, and people’s tickets have actually dissolved. It becomes a free for all at the gate. Everyone is covered in mud. All my buddies get separated, because we’re drunk, high, and on Adderall. Somehow we found our seats, regrouped, and watched one hell of a show. Then we drove 5 hours home.
November 4, 20196 yr I'd love to see them again. When they reunited in 2008 and played Lollapalooza people went fucking insane. I wasn't at the show, but I remember seeing video and I've never seen that many people that amped up. As someone posted above, the feedback loop between the band and the audience was more intense on a much bigger scale than I've ever seen. Just fucking craziness everywhere. Now that I'm a man in my 40s, I find their schtick a little ridiculous and at this point even a little hypocritical. But fuck me if those fuckers don't put on a helluva live show.
November 4, 20196 yr The show at the Astro Arena rocked hard. Also saw Helmet there in 1995. The show at South Park Meadows was meh and the Roots upstaged them.
November 5, 20196 yr Author I’ve been listening to the catalog and damn that’s a tight set of albums. Great stuff on all of them. I kind of knocked them early on “Fuck you I won’t do what you tell me! I’m sixteen I’m in a band and I’m angry!” But they grew on me big time. Tom Morello is kind of insufferable when he talks but dude was a visionary with the guitar. Rage owes a lot but they influenced a lot too. The politics is whatever but the flow and the funk is fucking awesome. I have to find a way to make a show.

November 5, 20196 yr I was at the Meadows show too. Only time I’ve seen them. I remember a naked dude running through the pit at one point.
November 5, 20196 yr hope they come to Michigan. saw them once back in 97 or 98 I was a soph in HS. I will spend the money and do VIP on this if they come here or close enough to drive
November 5, 20196 yr L.A. Rising at the Coliseum in 2011 was nuts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Buddy of mine in Tucson said come stay with him for a few days and hit all of the first three dates. Tempting.
November 8, 20196 yr I had tickets to see them in a tour with the Beastie Boys in 2000. Mike D fell off his bicycle right before the tour and broke something. The cancelled the tour and life has never been the same until now

Yeah, No CR, but I think they were 20 years ahead of their time as far as their message. Edit: I think that's why the El Paso gig will be interesting. Their message in the aftermath of the Walmart shooting and leading up to the 2020 election is going to be meaningful and powerful. Edited November 8, 20196 yr by Goredho
November 8, 20196 yr I'm talking less about their politics and more about the idea that a bunch of really wealthy dudes in their late 40's are upstart rebels. I'm generally sympathetic/agreeable to their message.
November 8, 20196 yr Speaking of being ahead of their time for a message, I heard the offsprings “come out and play” song not too long ago. I don’t really remember school shootings being a thing in 1994.
