February 19Feb 19 My niece's fiancé brought this back from Rwanda for me recently. It is delicious, but a little goes a looooong way.
February 27Feb 27 First foray into chili crunch. I'm putting this on everything! Only issue is 110 calories per tbsp and I'm trying to calorie deficit... Any lower calorie alternatives?

Any lower calorie alternatives? Probably not since calories come from the oil. I'm not aware of any non oil-based chili crisp. Tried looking that up and only came across one on amazon, but it was still 80 calories per tablespoon. If you're only looking for heat, then I'd just use a regular fermented hot sauce, which has almost zero calories.

Any lower calorie alternatives? Are you using a fucking tablespoon per serving? I'd imagine at most you're adding 30 or so calories using a normal amount per meal. Maybe that's material for your diet, idk.
May 12May 12 Time for a bump- this is a local-ish maker, and I was impressed with their Black Label sauce. The Ghost Pepper and Pomegranate really play well together.

May 12May 12 I just took inventory and I have 17 hot sauces in my refrigerator. Glorious hot sauces. The best hot sauces. So great. And the most expensive is the $8 12oz Cholula. You are outside of your gotdamned mind with a $15 hot sauce that’ll be gone in three uses.

Depends on who's giving the handjob, imo. On one hand, it could be Helobious, who's grip and rip skills are legendary. On the other hand, it might be Helobious.
June 28Jun 28 This is pretty good stuff. Nothing crazy heat-wise but good flavor when you want to dial it up a bit from like a habañero offering. Edited June 28Jun 28 by ztejas

Yeah, has a kick but tastes good. I think that's the goldilocks. Anyone can just make hot hot sauce. I want heat and flavor and they are good at that.

June 28Jun 28 Anybody do wings with different hot sauces? Sauce + butter + chicken. I like Valentina's but it's not very spicy (and I'm no chile-head). Yeah, I've done all the Frank's and basic Tobasco variants. Any go-tos I should try next? Ghost peppers need not apply. MAYBE habaneros at the most. Now that I think about it, a good habanero-citrus sauce might be delicious.

July 18Jul 18 If yall haven't tried this, I recommend doing so. They have other varieties as well but Hot Rodeo is my go to. Made with habeneros and aji amarillos.
July 27Jul 27 Hadn’t seen this version of Louisiana before, so grabbed it the other day for a couple bucks. Just had it now on some air-fried Sam’s chicken bites, real damn good little snack. Will definitely keep in the rotation.
August 10Aug 10 Hadn’t seen this version of Louisiana before, so grabbed it the other day for a couple bucks. Just had it now on some air-fried Sam’s chicken bites, real damn good little snack. Will definitely keep in the rotation. Went to town for the first time in a while and found these at Fiesta. I’m still trying to understand how you can make a hot sauce from Louisiana more Cajun, but I’m willing to learn so here we are. Never seen the two Yucatero’s before, but I put the green one on my eggs this morning and it had me sweating pretty quickly.
August 10Aug 10 Any of you people make your own sauces? Wife grows Scorpions, Hababetos, Ghosts, Reapers, jalapeños, and other assisted protests every summer... I boil with vinegar, salt, water, garlic, onion, and whatever I'm thinking at the moment... Then blend. Last one was scorpion, hab, and a bit of tomato to bring the heat to manageable. Throw me some ideas.
August 12Aug 12 I love this sauce and go through a bottle every couple months. It can be tough to find, but currently 3-pack on amazon is like $16. It's not has hot as a habanero sauce, but the flavor is amazing. I'll eat it on just about anything, sometimes just covering a cracker or a chip with it.

August 15Aug 15 I love Marie Sharps. Top 3 brands for me. Grabbed two bottles of it to restock (Hab and Garlic) at Kroger yesterday. It's surprisingly easy to get at our Kroger - almost always on the shelves. I love the original and the unique flavor it has with the carrots. Oh, and fuck Melinda's.\

September 29Sep 29 Bought this just because, had it on some deli fried chicken now. Ain't mad at it at all, but you better fucking like dill pickles.

October 25Oct 25 This is the best I’ve ever had. I can’t remember who recommended it, but thank you. This is going to replace everything but the staples.

October 26Oct 26 I have not found it in the store but more and more in restaurants around CO. Absolutely a place for it in my rather ridiculous hot sauce kitchen shelf.

I'm not good at explaining stuff like that. It's on the thicker side. It reminds me of the Melinda's xtrahot and Marie Sharps stuff, just better tasting.

Heartbeat's Website has a page for locating retail locations near you that sell their product. Went today and grabbed a bottle of the Scorpion and a bottle of the Red Habanero. The scorpion is amazing. Less heat than Tabasco scorpion and way more flavor. The red hab is average - to me it tastes like many other red habs and is at the bottom of my current stash of red hab sauces. They were out of the Camp Sauce, so I am debating buying online or just waiting for Christmas and asking for a bottle of it. They had the Dill Pickle Serrano sauce, but I already have a couple of dill pickle based hot sauces and wanted something with more heat. The scorpion sauce lived up to the hype - do recommend. Looking forward to getting my hands on a bottle of the Camp Sauce.
November 21Nov 21 If I am ranking the habanero sauces I have in my fridge right now, L to R. Marie’s still takes the cake.

I've had bad luck with ordering various hot sauces via Amazon - numerous broken bottles or unsealed/leaky squeeze bottles, and since they're considered food items, most (all?) were basically sent with a "no refunds whatsoever" policy, even for breakage during shipping. Maybe I pissed and moaned enough to get a refund anyway (maybe not - can't remember for certain) but I do remember that my final conclusion was "stop ordering hot sauce via Amazon." November 28Nov 28 Never seen this one in the wild before. I like hot, but it’s got to have flavor. This meets that criteria.
