Shooting poor 3’s. Could have lived without this for another month.

On the bright side, the offense seems to already be in mid-season form.

#30 our token white sharp shooter?

0-5 from downtown so no? Shaka can’t even recruit one kid that can shoot lights out.

Are we running the "shoot and holler, shit!" offense again this year?

to perfection.

So, new year, same ol inept offense with no gameplan other than stand around and throw up threes. Usually that doesn't happen until the 2nd or 3rd game.

Somebody convince me Cunningham deserved a scholarship. How in the fuck does he start at Texas?

This is the response to a freshman's rough first five minutes in any sport that really defines Texas fandom.

There's a 0% chance we would be this bad if we had fired Shaka the day that Wulaw started that thread.

yeah i honestly never thought he deserved a scholarship to Texas, so to see him starting as a freshman was less than ideal.

I know nothing about Northern Colorado, so I don't know how to really assess, but the defense does look improved.

This team will have zero chance of having good season.

We're on pace to be up 10 - 36 at the half

we still look terrible on offense, and not just terrible, but that Shaka-specific brand of terrible. we've all seen this for too long not to recognize it.

i realize it's game 1 and rotations aren't all that meaningful right now, but i really thought will baker would play a lot sooner than he did.

One of their players missed a wide open layup.. nothing will be learned tonight.

They also won their post season tournament last year.

watched him play once in HS and both my dad and I came away pretty just going, "umm...ok? this guy is going to Texas?" KJ Adams was so much better/more impactful than Baker, as were a couple other of his Westlake teammates. I've also heard that he had questionable work ethic heading into UT, so take that fwiw.

Eh, they're worse than last year - by far their best player is gone. I'll certainly give the naysayers that.
