Quick answer for West Virginia, but only a field goal.  Couldn't capitalize on a nice 50 yard completion that got them inside the 10

Track guy, Dalton Rigdon, gets behind the WVU secondary for an 81 yard TD.   14-3 Tech

Kid can really fly.  He's like the white Adam Thielen

Damn.

Tech turns an interception into a 21 yard TD drive.  21-3 Wells and Tech

Tech stops Mountaineer drive and is on the move early in the 2nd Quarter.  West Virginia has some cool, special helmets that seems to be making them suck

Tech is just fucking hammering those guys. Wow.

28 - 3 Tech.

259 yards with 13:25 still to go in the first half

I’m with you man, watching Tech improve while Baylor and tcu show that you can still teach defense is depressing.

john denver attended tech.  he graduated from high school in arlington.  he was born at Roswell AFB.  his parents were from Denver.

west virginia's only claim to john denver is denver's use of the name of the state of west virginia in a single song.

carry on with transitive property doom.

So, uh, that home w against tech that I was banking on may need to be reconsidered.

what is the connection with John Denver & TT? ie wtf does the thread title mean?  We know the WV song. Explain.

He grew up in Texas and attended tech.

The media will be ready after he went after them on his TH weekly show. They've taken it easy on him, not sure he realizes how this media market can be once proven a fool.

Tech about to get the ball back up 35-10 with almost 7 minutes left until half

Mountaineers starting to implode

I just fact checked you. He did not attend high school in Arlington, he attended Arlington heights high school in ft worth.

carry on.

Horns down in the student section.  I could have sworn we play KSU today.

Yeah, Rocky Mountain High . . . Colorado.  What about that, OP?

Jarret Doege, a Lubbock Cooper product, leading the Mountaineers down the field.  Will be too little, too late, but interesting to see a kid who was the younger brother of a former Tech starting QB who Tech did not offer, playing for another Big 12 team

I thought that name looked familiar.

It was just an attention catching title.

Because if we really want to get down to it, some rocks along the shore of Monterrey Bay and a wayward experimental aircraft own his soul

Ha, ha.  Seth Doege was the QB that introduced WV to the Big XII.  I think Geno Smith beat us the week before.

"Texas Tech bounced back the next week on October 13, defeating then-no. 5-ranked (AP poll) West Virginia in a 49–14 upset. Doege threw for 504 yards (a career-high) and six touchdowns (tying his career high) in the victory."

I just went over to the wiki page and read about the crash.
