This young pup deserves his own thread.  He has played extremely well even when our defense was looking like pure shit in our losses.  I feel bad for any center and guard that tries to block this dude.  Just like Poona, we're not going to see his play reflected in stats but he's one of the main reasons we shut down TCU and KSU's run game.   I think we see his name somewhere on a All Big 12 list this year.

On a side note, I'm very excited about a future DL that would have Sweat-Coburn-Ojomo potentially starting with young athletic freaks like Broughton and hopefully Collins behind them.  We're starting to recruit size and athleticism like LSU and Bama.

Totally agree. Coburn has maintained a great motor, doesn't take plays off, beats double teams quite often. KSU has a great line and he made a few of those guys look pedestrian.

This kid good.... real good

I’ll say this, we may only have one more season of Coburn before he’s playing on Sundays. Sucks that he had to redshirt last year.

I bet he could wreck shop in a 4-man defensive line, if only such a thing were legal.

Coburn's a stud.  He'll definitely be playing on Sundays soon.

And still manages to chase down ball carriers from behind

Watching him clothesline that KSU rb yesterday made me audibly go “oh shit”. Kid is a monster that’s just getting started.

Any good clips of the clothesline mentioned or other plays from big boy Coburn?

All while being bear hugged.

Whose idea was it to make him catch blocks all last year?

I just put it together that he and Sweat are both on the Titans now. If you sort they're roster by weight, they're #1 and #3 lol.
